Nanally's Stat Priority
Nanally is an Esper who has many passives and skills that enhance or benefit from CRIT, so focusing on her CRIT Damage and Rate will get you the most mileage. You shouldn't have much trouble hitting 100% Crit Rate with Nanally, so make sure to not overcap!
Nanally's Skill Priority
Most of Nanally's damage comes from her Basic Attacks and Enhanced Basics from her Ultimate, which you want to level first. While her Skill is high value and you want to make sure you have maximum uptime on it, the CRIT DMG provided by it is the same at level 1 as it is at level 10, so you can neglect leveling it for a bit.
Nanally's Awakening Priority
If you have one or multiple copies of a character, you will be able to select Awakenings of your choosing. The following is a recommendation for Nanally's Awakening unlock order. Remember that you can switch them at any time to try out different ones, or tailor your choices for a specific fight or situation.
| Awakening Unlock Order | Explanation |
|---|---|
| Because We're Family (A6) |
If Nanally is only Awakened once, her A6 is the recommended option for her Awakening. If Nanally has already been awakened twice, it is recommended to use this as your third Awakening option. Maintaining uptime on Ichi-daime's Authority is extremely important, and this extends the duration by 3 seconds in combat and 7 seconds when out of combat. Aside from the benefit of extended duration in combat, the quality of life bonus from having extended duration out of combat is very convenient. |
| Call Me the Boss (A3) |
If Nanally is only Awakened twice, using her A3 in combination with her A5 is recommended. Her A3 synergises well with the A5 because of the follow-up attack that is caused by her A3 while under the effect of Ichi-daime's Authority. It has an internal cooldown of 1 second, but this isn't a problem at all. |
| Followers Everywhere (A5) |
If Nanally is only Awakened twice, using her A5 in combination with her A3 is recommended. Her A5 synergises well with the A3 because of the follow-up attack caused by her A3. Her support skill Fair Duel also causes a follow-up attack that can trigger every 2 seconds whenever any character in the team deals 1 instance of Esper Cycle DMG while under the effect of Ichi-daime's Authority. The Underboss summoned by her Ultimate also counts as follow-up damage. |
| Gang Formation (A1) |
Her fourth recommended Awakening is her A1. At the fourth Awakening, Nanally will have the follow-up attack from her A3, the follow-up from her support skill Fair Duel, and the follow-up from her Ultimate. This has an internal cooldown of 1s and will bring her towards performing another Ultimate fairly quickly. |
| Second Member (A2) |
Her fifth recommended Awakening is her A2. The Underboss from Nanally's Ultimate counts as follow-up damage, so extending the duration for the bonuses from her previous Awakenings is beneficial. |
| Not a Troublemaker (A4) |
The last recommended Awakening for Nanally is her A4. Now that we have all the bonuses from inflicting follow-up damage, and the duration of the Underboss has been increased by 3 seconds, it's all tied together with the Underboss having his damage doubled. |
How to Play Nanally
Nanally's gameplay focuses around the uptime of Ichi-daime's Authority which is granted by her Skill Colucci Howling Technique. It's important to ensure that Ichi-daime's Authority is active before using her Ultimate, and that you aren't losing uptime on it.
After using her Ultimate, make sure to hit as many Basic Attacks as possible, to gain the maximum benefit of her Ultimate follow-up attacks.
Once the game has launched, and we had an opportunity to play around with all the characters, we will be updating this section with more specific rotational advice and how to set up specific combos for Esper Cycles or burst windows!
