General Information

Welcome to our Perks page for Flail. Here, we give you an overview of how strong each perk is in each setting. Then, we present Jewelry perks and explain how strong and why each of them is.

1.

Perk Tierlists

All the perks below are useful perks to pick-up for any Flail build. Please keep note of the ability-specific ones, as those are only releveant to builds that use that ability.

2.

Flail Perks

The perks within this section include general weapon perks and Void Gauntlet specific perks that are in the current META.

2.1.

S-Tier

  • Burdening Smite Burdening Smite — This should be used specifcially for PvP builds (not relevant for PvE).
  • Mending Vortex Mending Vortex — A great source of self-healing when fighting in clumps.
2.2.

A-Tier

  • Accelerating Barrage Accelerating Barrage — This perk is great for PvP-related content, as the haste buff provided can potentially by life-saving.
  • Crowded Bludgeon Crowded Bludgeon — This is a fantastic perk to have on an armor piece to contribute to more ability cooldown when fighting in clumps.
  • Vicious Vicious — This is also considered an optimal third perk for more damage output due to high critical hit chance.
2.3.

B-Tier

  • Refreshing Move Refreshing Move — Supports ability cooldown management.
  • Powerful Eruption Powerful Eruption — Additional damage-dealing perk.
  • Keenly Empowered Keenly Empowered — A perk that acts as a functional third perk option for best in slot. Since critical hit chance is so high, this will have high up time. It does have an internal cooldown, and at times the empower effect can be wasted due to the timing of its proc given the current situation (ie: activates at the end of combat and goes on cooldown).
2.4.

C-Tier

  • Enchanted Enchanted — Most Void Gauntlet builds will not need to light or heavy attack often. Therefore, the usefulness of this perk is minimal and outpaced by damage focused perks.
  • Keenly Jagged Keenly Jagged — A perk that acts as a functional third perk option for best in slot. This results in higher damage output and the damage over time effect charages heartrunes more quickly.
3.

PvP Perks

The perks within this section include general armor perks for builds that are viable in the current PvP META.

3.1.

S-Tier

  • Freedom Freedom — Fantastic survivability option when stacked four times on armor pieces. Allows for you to get out of stuns, slows, and roots more quickly to save your life.
  • Elemental Aversion Elemental Aversion — Defensive option that can provide value when being hit by ranged attacks.

3.3.

B-Tier

3.4.

C-Tier

These options are somewhat filler perks that can be used on a three perk item so you have more value than a simple two perk item. They are low value perks in this aspect of gameplay and would not be the pick for a Best in Slot item.

4.

PvE Perks

4.1.

S-Tier

  • Refreshing Refreshing — Free cooldown reduction in PvE. This is generally a top pick due to the lackof needing PvP survivability perks.
  • Elemental Aversion Elemental Aversion — High value defensive option because of the rotating elemental types in mutated expeditions.
  • Enchanted Ward Enchanted Ward — Boosts defense against light and heavy attacks from mobs and bosses.
4.2.

A-Tier

  • Shirking Fortification Shirking Fortification — Provides great defensiveness when threat is focused on you and you are forced to dodge enemies.

B-Tier

  • Freedom Freedom — Can be beneficial to reduce CC effects from some enemy types.
4.4.

5.

Jewelry Perks

The perks listed below are combined between amulet, ring, and earring. These are the best options for jewelry as a whole. Keep in mind that some of these perks are only able to go on a specific jewelry slot, for example Keen Awareness Keen Awareness can only go on a ring.

5.1.

S-Tier

  • Hearty Hearty — Consider this a required ring perk.
  • Health Health — This is just free health. This is crucial on any amulet for increased survivability.
  • Stamina Recovery Stamina Recovery — Great survivability option in any kit. When you are being dove on by enemies this has the potential to save your life.
  • Refreshing Toast Refreshing Toast — Incredible perk to increase self healing and Infused Regeneration Potion Infused Regeneration Potion usage to remove debuffs. This is a "must-have" on earring.
  • Purifying Toast Purifying Toast — Necessary for Void Gauntlet players in PvP to help with defensiveness and one's ability to play in the frontline. Removing a debuff such as a root can save your life.
5.2.

A-Tier

  • Slash Protection Slash Protection — Can be a great third perk option on amulet to help provide defensiveness against enemies using melee weapons who are trying to dive onto you.
  • Refreshing Refreshing — Can be placed as a third perk on an earring or used as a functional perk on other jewelry pieces.
5.3.

B-Tier

  • Thrust Protection Thrust Protection — One of the best third amulet perks for healers due to high amounts of thrust damage from Bows and Muskets.
  • Divine Divine — Can be a decent third perk option. Increasing healing received could save your life, but often times this amount is not enough and more defensive options have more value.
  • Regenerating Regenerating — Free additional healing over time. This can be a decent third perk option.
5.4.

C-Tier

These options are somewhat filler perks that can be used on a 3 perk item so you have more value than a simple 2 perk item. They are low value perks in this aspect of gameplay and would not be the pick for a Best in Slot item.
