Furnishing Leveling Guide for New World Aeternum

Furnishing is one of the most important trade skills to have in New World: Aeternum, as it is directly associated with upgrading your trophies (which can impact literally everything, from damage bonuses towards mob types, to crafting buffs, to luck bonuses, and more). Additionally, you will be able to utilize this trade skill to craft furniture, which can be placed in your houses to make it exactly the way you like it!

Furnishing is performed at a Workshop in any settlement. Workshops have a tier level that varies from town-to-town, and a higher tiered level Workshop will enable you to craft higher tier items, such as the Major Mining Gathering Trophy and Golden Steel Storage Chests.

In this guide, we'll walk through the best items to craft when leveling Furnishing, the most effective way to generate gold with Furnishing, and more.

Furnishing is one of the hardest crafting skills to level, purely based on the sheer amount of raw materials required to level it up. Although it is dificult to gather the materials to level up your Furnishing, the overall strategy is pretty straight-forward.

Below is a list of recommended items to craft at certain level ranges in order to be most cost-effective with your Furnishing leveling strategy. To learn more about the specific ingredients for each craft, click on the item and you'll be able to see all additional details.

Please note: Some of these items will not be easy to sell. In some cases, it makes the most sense to craft these in bulk, then mass salvage them in order to regain some resources. Keep this in mind as you utilize the strategies below.

1. Levels 1-70: Round Sunny Rugs (you need to craft about 258 of these to hit level 70)
2. Levels 70-120: Common Incenses (you need to craft around 2,496 of these to hit level 120 - have fun!)
3. Levels 120-150: Strong Incenses (you need to craft around 1,229 of these to hit level 150)
4. Levels 150-205: Virtuoso's Azoth Flutes or Virtuoso's Drums (you need to craft a combination of 25 of these to hit level 205)
5. Levels 205-250: Tattered Banners (you need to craft around 39 of these to hit level 250)

Depending on the server you're on, there are certain items that hold a large value. Below is a list of items that we recommend you consider implementing within your leveling strategy in order to potentially "break-even" as you craft, as they tend to be easily sold to other players within the Trading Post. Again - this is dependent on server. The list below showcases some of the most sought-after items that you can craft utilizing your Furnishing trade skill.

• Trophy Upgrades — When you're level 200 in Furnishing, you will be able to upgrade trophy items all the way up to the highest-quality, which is the "Major" type. For example, you'll be able to upgrade a Basic Weaponsmithing Crafting Trophy to a Major Weaponsmithing Crafting Trophy. Just having the ability to craft this can lead you to gold, as many players will provide you their previous trophy, all required materials, and even some gold for you simply to craft the upgrade for them. After upgrading, you would return theupgraded trophy to them, and it's a win-win situation! If you do this - please honor your word and return the upgraded trophy.
• Storage Chests — With Furnishing, you'll be able to craft a range of different types of furniture. One of the most useful and most sought-after types of furniture are storage chests. If you're lucky enough to find the schematic, you will be able to make a high-profit off of crafting Golden Steel Storage Chests, which are the highest-quality chests that can be crafted. If you're lucky enough to have a high Furnishing level and the schematic to make this storage chest, you'll be able to sell chests like crazy for a fast and easy profit. The younger your server is, the more profit you'll be able to make (as there will be less available to the public).
• Powerful Incenses — At level 170 in Furnishing, you'll be able to craft a powerful consumable known as a Powerful Incense. When used, these consumables provide an increase resistance to all afflictions by 50 for 30 minutes, making it extremely useful for end-game PvE content. These are easy to sell on the Trading Post and directly to other players for an easy profit.

As you progress through the Furnishing levels, you will notice that many higher-end items, like storage chests, require you to learn schematics to craft items. Once you use a schematic, you will learn the recipe to craft this permanently on that character. Many of these schematics can be found on the Trading Post, or found within Elite chests.
