General Information

Welcome to our Perks page for Void Gauntlet. Here, we give you an overview of how strong each perk is in each setting. Then, we present Jewelry perks and explain how strong and why each of them is.

1.

Perk Tierlists

All the perks below are usable in any Void Gauntlet build. While there are many other perks in the game, these are the perks that are within the scope of having value when using a Void Gauntlet and properly gearing your build.

2.

Void Gauntlet Perks

The perks within this section include general weapon perks and Void Gauntlet specific perks that are in the current META.

2.1.

S-Tier

  • Putrefying Scream Putrefying Scream — This should be located on your weapon, it will result in a large amount of healing reduction to the afflicted target(s).
  • Nullifying Oblivion Nullifying Oblivion — Preferably, have this on an armor piece. It can go on weapon for more cooldown reduction, but that is less effective than Putrefying Scream Putrefying Scream because it is not as big of an increase. It is a very important perk nonetheless.
  • Keen Keen — This is the second most important perk to roll onto your Void Gauntlet. More critical hit chance results in more cooldown reduction.
2.2.

A-Tier

  • Diminishing Orb Diminishing Orb — This is a fantastic perk to have on an armor piece to contribute to more debuff removal. Since it is casted so often it ends up having significant value.
  • Chain Void Chain Void — In an optimal three perk best in slot situation, this would be an the final perkfor your Void Gauntlet in addition to Putrefying Scream Putrefying Scream and Keen Keen. This not only contributes to more damage output, but the chain effect can be used to quickly charge your heartrune.
  • Vicious Vicious — This is also considered an optimal third perk for more damage output due to high critical hit chance.
2.3.

B-Tier

  • Voracious Blade Voracious Blade — This can be rolled onto a Void Gauntlet or an armor piece when using a build that uses Void Blade Void Blade to receive significantly more healing.
  • Keenly Jagged Keenly Jagged — A perk that acts as a functional third perk option for best in slot. This results in higher damage output and the damage over time effect charages heartrunes more quickly.
  • Keenly Empowered Keenly Empowered — A perk that acts as a functional third perk option for best in slot. Since critical hit chance is so high, this will have high up time. It does have an internal cooldown, and at times the empower effect can be wasted due to the timing of its proc given the current situation (ie: activates at the end of combat and goes on cooldown).
  • X Chain — While Chain Void Chain Void is typically best when using Runeglass of Abyssal Opal Runeglass of Abyssal Opal, any type of chain can result in more damage and heartrune generation. Since it is not Void damage though it will not benefit from Void damage increases like Chain Void Chain Void would.
2.4.

C-Tier

  • Refreshing Rupture Refreshing Rupture — This ability is not commonly used other than for PvE healing. Even in that situation this perk is not needed due to innate Void Gauntlet cooldown reduction.
  • Slowing Tether Slowing Tether — There are very few players who use Tether because of its lack of usefulness and how easily it can be countered. If using the ability this perk can have some use.
  • Refreshing Move Refreshing Move — Most Void Gauntlet builds will not need to light or heavy attack often. Therefore, the usefulness of this perk is minimal and outpaced by damage focused perks.
  • Enchanted Enchanted — Most Void Gauntlet builds will not need to light or heavy attack often. Therefore, the usefulness of this perk is minimal and outpaced by damage focused perks.
3.

PvP Perks

The perks within this section include general armor perks for builds that are viable in the current PvP META.

3.1.

S-Tier

  • Resilient Resilient — Great for survivability in all PvP environments. Should be stacked on almost every armor piece.
  • Freedom Freedom — Fantastic survivability option when stacked four times on armor pieces. Allows for you to get out of stuns, slows, and roots more quickly to save your life.
  • Elemental Aversion Elemental Aversion — Defensive option that can provide value when being hit by ranged attacks.
3.2.

A-Tier

  • Refreshing Refreshing — Top-tier cooldown reduction option so that maximum cooldowns are shorter and abilities come online faster. Used in non-bruiser builds.
3.3.

B-Tier

3.4.

C-Tier

These options are somewhat filler perks that can be used on a three perk item so you have more value than a simple two perk item. They are low value perks in this aspect of gameplay and would not be the pick for a Best in Slot item.

4.

PvE Perks

4.1.

S-Tier

  • Refreshing Refreshing — Free cooldown reduction in PvE. This is generally a top pick due to the lackof needing PvP survivability perks.
  • Elemental Aversion Elemental Aversion — High value defensive option because of the rotating elemental types in mutated expeditions.
  • Ward (Ancient, Angry Earth, Corrupted, Lost) — When playing damage roles in end game PvE content, it is important to have this in your gear so you are able to play with less Constitution and have more defensiveness.
  • Bane (Ancient, Angry Earth, Corrupted, Lost) — If you choose to use a Void Gauntlet as a pure DPS build you will be able to do the most damage by choosing to use a Bane perk for each respective enemy type. This will require you to have multiple different weapons depending on the expedition it is used in.
4.2.

A-Tier

4.3.

B-Tier

  • Physical Aversion Physical Aversion — Has less value than Elemental Aversion Elemental Aversion due to the high amount of magical damage in all expeditions. It can be a viable third perk option.
  • Freedom Freedom — Can be beneficial to reduce CC effects from some enemy types.
4.4.

C-Tier

These options are somewhat filler perks that can be used on a three perk item so you have more value than a simple two perk item. They are low value perks in this aspect of gameplay and would not be the pick for a Best in Slot item.

  • Invigorated Invigorated
  • Ward (Beast) — Although listed in C-Tier, this should not ever be taken until there is an expedtion with beast damage in it.
  • Refreshing Ward Refreshing Ward
5.

Jewelry Perks

The perks listed below are combined between amulet, ring, and earring. These are the best options for jewelry as a whole. Keep in mind that some of these perks are only able to go on a specific jewelry slot, for example Keen Awareness Keen Awareness can only go on a ring.

5.1.

S-Tier

  • Health Health — This is just free health. This is crucial on any amulet for increased survivability.
  • Stamina Recovery Stamina Recovery — Great survivability option in any kit. When you are being dove on by enemies this has the potential to save your life.
  • Invigorated Punishment Invigorated Punishment — Necessary ring perk to increase damage in PvP. This will only be effective in PvP combat.
  • Keen Awareness Keen Awareness — Critical hit chance in any Void Gauntlet build results in fantastic cooldown reduction in both PvP and PvE.
  • Refreshing Toast Refreshing Toast — Incredible perk to increase self healing and Infused Regeneration Potion Infused Regeneration Potion usage to remove debuffs. This is a "must-have" on earring.
  • Purifying Toast Purifying Toast — Necessary for Void Gauntlet players in PvP to help with defensiveness and one's ability to play in the frontline. Removing a debuff such as a root can save your life.
5.2.

A-Tier

  • Slash Protection Slash Protection — Can be a great third perk option on amulet to help provide defensiveness against enemies using melee weapons who are trying to dive onto you.
  • Refreshing Refreshing — Can be placed as a third perk on an earring or used as a functional perk on other jewelry pieces.
  • Void Damage Void Damage — This should be used instead of Invigorated Punishment Invigorated Punishment in PvE, but this can be a great option in PvP as well. The only issue is that it only improves damage on your Void Gauntlet instead of both weapons.
  • Hearty Hearty — Do not use this in a medium loadout build. It is not necessary unless playing in a light armor loadout. If you are playing in light this must be on your ring.
5.3.

B-Tier

  • Mortal Empowerment Mortal Empowerment — This is usable, but not optimal. You need to stay alive to make it useful, which becomes difficult with the way a Void Gauntlet is played. This has no effect in PvE.
  • Refreshing Evasion Refreshing Evasion
  • Thrust Protection Thrust Protection — One of the best third amulet perks for healers due to high amounts of thrust damage from Bows and Muskets.
  • Divine Divine — Can be a decent third perk option. Increasing healing received could save your life, but often times this amount is not enough and more defensive options have more value.
  • Regenerating Regenerating — Free additional healing over time. This can be a decent third perk option.
5.4.

C-Tier

These options are somewhat filler perks that can be used on a 3 perk item so you have more value than a simple 2 perk item. They are low value perks in this aspect of gameplay and would not be the pick for a Best in Slot item.
