Before you even swing a sword, there are a few settings in Assassin’s Creed Shadows that are worth checking. Some are pure quality-of-life upgrades that just make things smoother.
Here are the best ones to look for:
- Auto Loot: Collects loot from nearby enemies right after combat. Saves time, plain and simple.
- Simplified QTEs or Auto Complete: No matter if it is about fight performances or shrine minigames, you can set QTEs to auto-complete or use easier inputs.
- Language Mode: You can switch between English or Japanese voice acting anytime. It does not affect trophies or progress.
- Guided vs Exploration Mode: Switch freely depending on how much help you want navigating the world.
- Motion Blur: If fast movement gives you visual strain, just turn it off.
- Aim Assist: Especially handy for quick-throw tools or ranged abilities.
Set things up early, and your entire playthrough will feel much better.
