If you want a challenging experience in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the difficulty settings are where things get spicy, especially for stealth-focused players.
Here is what you might want to know:
- Combat Difficulty affects how hard enemies hit; they will not become tankier, just deadlier.
- Stealth Difficulty is a separate setting. On Expert, enemies spot you much faster, even from rooftops.
- Expert Mode removes white attack telegraphs. That means no more obvious parry cues; you need to react based on movement alone.
- Red (unblockable) and Blue (flurry) attacks still have indicators, so it is not entirely blind.
