Ubisoft has officially released the first Assassin’s Creed Shadows soundtrack album, now available on Spotify, Deezer, and other major streaming platforms. This is the first of three albums planned for the game’s music.
The album includes 59 atmospheric tracks, composed by The Flight, the music duo Joe Henson and Alexis Smith, also known for their work on Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
Traditional Meets Modern Sound
The Flight blended traditional Japanese instruments like:
- Koto
- Shamisen
- Taiko drums
- Shakuhachi
- Tsuchibue flute
…with modern music production techniques to create a soundscape that reflects the dual journey of protagonists Naoe and Yasuke.
Highlight Track: “Steel and Shadows”
One standout track is “Steel and Shadows”, a version of Naoe’s theme featuring vocals by Akari Mochizuki together with Tsuchibue, Koto, and Taiko. It was designed to reflect Naoe’s emotional journey through the story.
Two More Albums Coming After Launch
Ubisoft also confirmed that two more soundtrack albums are on the way, created by:
- Teke::Teke
- Thunderdrum feat. Tiggs Da Author
These will be released post-launch.
