Wondering how long it takes to beat Assassin’s Creed Shadows? Maybe you are just in it for the story or aiming for 100% completion; no matter your goals for the game, here is a breakdown of its length and structure.
Game Length:
The main story alone will take around 35 to 40 hours, depending on your difficulty and how much side content you do along the way. But if you want to go for 100% completion, you are easily looking at 100 to 140 hours of playtime.
Story Structure:
- Act 1 (Prologue): ~2 hours, mostly tutorial and story setup.
- Act 2: ~10 hours, this is when Yasuke becomes playable and things really open up.
- Act 3: ~20 hours, most of the main quest board happens here.
- Act 4: ~5 hours, wrapping up the personal story arcs.
- Epilogue: ~1 hour for a final story conclusion.
There is no New Game Plus mode at launch (though it will come at a later time), so take your time and enjoy everything on your first run.
Also worth noting: playing both protagonists matters! Unlock Yasuke early (Act 2), or you will miss out on loot and activities for him during the first part of the game.
