Tripwire Interactive has recently delayed Killing Floor 3, which was originally set to release today, March 25, 2025. The new release window is now sometime later in 2025, with no exact date announced yet.
The announcement came on March 7, following feedback from a recent closed beta test. According to Tripwire, the delay will allow the team to improve several core aspects of the game, including performance, stability, lighting, weapon feel, and the overall UI/UX experience. The studio also stated that this extra time will help deliver a better and more polished experience while still keeping the co-op, action-horror FPS formula fans love.

Set in 2091, Killing Floor 3 continues the series’ tradition of six-player co-op battles against swarms of bioengineered monsters known as Zeds. However, one huge change is already confirmed: a post-launch update will give players the ability to independently choose their perk class and character; something the community has been asking for.
Pre-Orders Refunded
All existing pre-orders across Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation, and Xbox are being automatically refunded. If you are interested in this, you can find more information, including a refund FAQ, on the official Tripwire Interactive website.

Although the delay may be disappointing for longtime fans, the decision was made to give the team time to polish the game and address important player feedback before launch.
