Watchpoint: Gibraltar is a hard map to support on because of the sheer vastness of the play area. However, Ana is not deterred by the size of the map thanks to her ability to heal targets from any platform thanks to her Biotic Rifle. When allies need help in a skirmish, Ana can land a few shots to keep them topped off long enough to finish the fight. Additionally, Biotic Grenade is a great tool against heroes looking for a fight on the payload, as she can effectively shut down the healing of the enemy team. Lastly, Nano Boost can help allies win crucial duels against enemy damage heroes before securing or defending the payload against enemy tanks

Blizzard World has an open, yet closed off, map layout that lets Ana hide in cozy corners, healing her allies from places of safety. In fact, the first capture point has an awning that Ana can sit in while her allies take on enemies just around the corner. Additionally, the second portion of the map offers numerous vantage points from which Ana can heal her team, but players must be careful to avoid getting caught out by enemy players. With Nano Boost, Ana and a teammate can easily take the enemy by surprise from a weird angle, catching opponents off-guard.

While Ana is an effective hero in a variety of situations, her worst aspect has to be most one-story capture points. Although she is a great pick on defense on Numbani's first point, she struggles to be effective on other points on various maps. Her lack of mobility abilities often leads to her quick demise against dive compositions, and the overall aggressiveness that attackers show on capture point objectives can often lead to Ana being overrun before she can be effective.
