Best Maps for Moira
Moira on Temple of Anubis
Moira's kit is a perfect fit for Temple of Anubis for a number of reasons. First, Moira's team will most likely stick together and play as a unit rather than split off from one another and do their own thing. Temple of Anubis is such a small map that players typically have no option but to fight in tight quarters. Moira's healing from Biotic Grasp (LMB) and Biotic Orb pays huge dividends for her team as they fight together and play an objective-based game. Second, there are a number of areas on Temple of Anubis that have tight corridors that teams must get through to accomplish their goals. When a team is fighting in one of these corridors, Coalescence can easily sway a fight in a matter of seconds due to its area of effect capabilities. Lastly, Moira can use Fade to dodge attacks from enemy flankers should they try to catch her off guard.
Moira on Route 66
Although Moira is good on a couple of escort maps, her true potential is shown on Route 66. Route 66 is a medium sized map, but the payload travels around small buildings where teams usually huddle up and stick together. Therefore, Moira can then use her healing to keep her team alive as they face attacks from the enemy. Her Coalescence is extremely powerful on all portions of the map (especially when on attack) due to its area of effect mechanic. Enemies must come off of high ground to try and stop the payload from pushing forward, but Coalescence will keep allies alive and deal damage to enemies who drop on the payload.
Worst Map for Moira
Moira on Watchpoint: Gibraltar
Watchpoint: Gibraltar is an escort map, which would lead many to believe that Moira is a potent ally to have while fighting through Overwatch's homebase. However, Moira has no ability to make quick vertical movements, a large detriment when playing on Watchpoint. Almost every portion of the map (save the last stretch from the second checkpoint to the payload's destination) has a three-story playing field. If Moira is playing with heroes who can move quickly from one story to another, her inability to do so will be a problem. Additionally, Watchpoint has a variety of pathways that heroes can utilize when defending or attacking the enemy. These pathways lead teams to split off from one another at various points in the map, which destroys Moira's healing potential.
