Black Temple Raid Guides
Black Temple is one of the two raids introduced in Phase 3. Black Temple is a 25-player raid and is considered the main raid introduced in Phase 3, with 9 raid bosses and some generally difficult encounters. This section will host all of our guides focusing on Black Temple, including loot, bosses, attunements, and anything else related to the raid instance.
Overview
Black Temple (often referred to as BT) is a 25-player, 9-boss raid located in Shadowmoon Valley and is a part of the third tier of content available within Phase 3 of The Burning Crusade Classic.
Black Temple Attunement
As of Phase 4, attunement is no longer required to enter the Black Temple raid. You may still want to complete this attunement quest chain for the unique rewards, however, including the rare title "Hand of Adal".
Black Temple has a long attunement quest chain that will require you to defeat certain enemies inside of Tier 5 content. For a complete breakdown on what you need to do to become attuned to Black Temple, check out our attunement guide down below:
Black Temple Entrance Location
Black Temple is located on the far East of Shadowmoon Valley. The entrance is a crack in the side wall of the temple, allow players to sneak inside this otherwise impenetrable fortress. Check out the picture below of the exact area the raid entrance is found at.
Bosses in Black Temple
There are nine bosses in Black Temple, most of which must be killed in a linear order. Bosses 3-6 can be killed in any order, but the order listed below is the most common. Check out the links below for a guide for each specific boss.

Among these encounters, Mother Shahraz in particular is a fight that is heavily focused on maximizing your Shadow Resistance to withstand her Shadow-based abilities. To help you with this, we have created a guide dedicated to showing many of the options available to help with getting more of this stat.
In addition, Warlock players in particular may find themselves with the important job of taking on a tank role during the Illidan Stormrage fight. If you are someone that has taken on this responsibility, we have created a separate guide dedicated to helping you out with this important job.
