TBC Classic Demonology Warlock Phase 5 / Tier 6 Gear and Best in Slot

If you are starting out as a freshly-leveled Destruction Warlock, our pre-raid best in slot list is meant to give you an idea of non-raid items you can chase as a solo / pug player in preparation for raids. If your character is still progressing through the content of older tiers, then you may wish to consult their best in slot lists instead.

Tier 6 is the third Tier set that you can obtain in TBC Classic and is famously known for the wings that occasionally come out at random. Not only does it look amazing, it also has an extremely powerful 4-set bonus which increases the damage of your Shadow Bolt and Incinerate by 6%, which equates to aboout 120-130 Spell Power. The 2-set is much less exciting as it only heals you for 70 health every time your Corruption and Immolate does damage. This set also provides very good upgrades on the current slot as well. Obtaining this set should be a priority. You share this token with Paladins and Priests and it is pretty common to give the first 4-set to your Protection Paladin as it increases the damage of their Consecration by 10%. Typically after that they go to the Warlocks.

The tokens for Tier 6 are obtained from both Mount Hyjal and Black Temple. Bracers, Belts, and Boots are now released with the new and final raid, Sunwell Plateau. You will be aiming to get all three of these pieces as soon as you possibly can. These are the only pieces of your tier set with Haste on it, with the Belt and Boots being the only pieces in the game with Hit, Crit, Haste, and Spell Power.

• Pants — The Illidari Council in Black Temple
• Shoulders — Mother Shahraz in Black Temple
• Gloves — Azgalor in Mount Hyjal
• Bracers — Kalecgos in Sunwell Plateau
• Belts — Brutallus in Sunwell Plateau
• Boots — Felmyst in Sunwell Plateau

Dark Conjuror's Collar is the absolute best in slot. Both Annihilator Holo-Gogs and Cowl of the Illidari High Lord are very strong alternatives, however they are missing the Haste that is on the KJ helm. Feel free to use either in the meantime with the preference on The Engineering goggles if you are Engineering. Hood of the Malefic is still a good option to keep your 4 piece T6 intact and only swapping this off for one of the better pieces once you have obtained either Tier 6 Belt, Bracers, or Boots.

You have two choices on which neck is BiS for you largely depending on your profession. If you are Jewelcrafting, then Pendant of Sunfire is your best in slot. If you are not Jewelcrafting, then Amulet of Unfettered Magics is your best in slot. Due to the gem socket on Guardian's Pendant of Subjugation it is a slight upgrade from both of the ZA necks and costs some Honor.

There is only two options here for you to choose from. It is suggested to continue to use the Tier 6 shoulders Mantle of the Malefic for your 4 piece. Amice of the Convoker does have better stats than the T6 shoulders, however this combo is better than using T6 helm and Amice of the Convoker.

Option	Robes of Ghostly Hatred	M'uru — Sunwell Plateau
Option	Vestments of the Sea-Witch	Lady Vashj — Serpentshrine Cavern

Whichever Robe you choose will depend once again on your profession. If you are Tailoring, as is suggested, you should look to obtain Sunfire Robe as soon as you can. If you are not Tailoring, then Fel Conquerer Raiments is your best in slot. Robes of Ghostly Hatred are a very good alternative to both the previously listed robes to wear in the meantime. However this is not only best in slot for Mages, but also the base of this Robe is a Healing robe, so you would have to fight healers and Mages for something that you would end up replacing anyway, so do not worry about it.

Handguards of Defiled Worlds are your best in slot gloves. In the meantime you can obtain Sunfire Handwraps, which are a Tailoring Bind on Equip and just use these until you get the KJ gloves. Gloves of Tyri's Power are good gloves, however just like that chest piece, this is not only best in slot for Mages, but also the base of this Robe is a Healing robe, so you would have to fight healers and Mages for something that you would end up replacing anyway, so do not worry about it.

Leggings of Calamity are the best in slot pants. These are very good pants that most casters will want. Pantaloons of Growing Strife are a good alternative in the meantime while waiting for Calamity. Leggings of the Malefic fall far behind the alternatives and should only be used if you need to connect your 4 piece Tier 6.

Rings, as they have always been for TBC, are used as a Spell Hit slot. Simply put, if you need Spell Hit, you want to use Mana Attuned Band as it is insanely good with Spell Hit and Haste on it. Loop of Forged Power is a Bind on Equip ring that Jewelcrafters craft and is a very good option for a ring if you need Spell Hit, however it is only 1 Haste and 1 Hit rating more than Mana Attuned Band. Also the JC ring will be very expensive as well, but if you can afford it, more power to you. Ring of Ancient Knowledge is the best in slot if you do not need any extra Hit Rating.

Shifting Naaru Sliver and The Skull of Gul'dan are your two best in slot trinkets. Use any combination of the other three until you can obtain the two good ones. The Black Book is used as a trinket swap. You put it on and as the DBM pull timer goes down, at 2-3 seconds, pop the trinket and then swap to your other trinket. This allows you to keep the buff from your trinket even after you swap.

Sunflare is your Best in Slot. Paired with the Offhand Heart of the Pit, you should be looking for nothing else. Grand Magister's Staff of Torrents is another weapon that drops in SWP. Its a great staff with three sockets, however lacking Haste. This is a good alternative while waiting to obtain your Sunflare. Continue to use your T6 weapons in the meantime as they are still good.
