Please note that many of the upgrades you get in the first hour of questing in Hellfire Penninsula may be on par or better than many Vanilla WoW Epics. There are no items from level 60 that are pre-raid BiS for TBC but picking up these upgrades will reduce the amount of time needed to level. The largest upgrades would be in the weapons department as you will likely not replace your mainhand weapon until near level 70.
