TBC Classic Holy Priest Phase 3 / 4 Gear and Best in Slot

In this guide we will go over the different gear available for Holy Priests in Phase 3/4 raids. We will offer multiple different pieces as some can be rather expensive or very rare to find. It is also recommended as a Priest to avoid wearing too many pieces of gear with little-to-no Stamina, as you already have a low base health pool. During Black Temple, you may also have need of additional gear devoted to maximizing your Shadow Resistance stat. Should this be the case, we recommend consulting our guide dedicated to acquiring pieces with this stat as necessary.

If you are starting out as a freshly-leveled Holy Priest, our pre-raid best in slot list is meant to give you an idea of non-raid items you can chase as a solo / pug player in preparation for raids. If your character is still progressing through the content of older tiers, then you may wish to consult their best in slot lists instead.

Mantle of Absolution are our best in slot shoulders, being used for the rest of the expansion. Swiftheal Mantle are a very strong option before you get 4 set, and you will use these if you are using Tier 6 legs.

Swiftheal Wraps are our best in slot option, giving us a nice boost to our spell haste. They should be easy to acquire early on as they are crafted. You can pickup Wristguards of Tranquil Thought in the meantime till you can craft yours.

Priests have a large selection of trinkets available to them and they should be using most of the mentioned trinkets, swapping them in and out as needed. Darkmoon Card: Blue Dragon remains as your best in slot Mana regeneration trinket as Circle of Healing makes it much easier to proc.

Finally, Alchemist's Stone offers a huge increase to Mana regen, averaging out to be 40 Mana per 5. It is worth noting that this trinket can be swapped in and out during trash to greatly increase the Mana gained from your potions.

Utilize the best trinkets for the best situation. On longer fights aim for more Mana regeneration trinkets, such as Darkmoon Card: Blue Dragon or Alchemist's Stone. Shorter fights will favor Spell Haste and Bonus Healing trinkets if you do not run the risk of running out of Mana.

Dark Blessing is our new best in slot option, with the passive boost to spell haste beating out the bonus healing and proc from Crystal Spire of Karabor. Staff of Dark Mending is a decent option if you do not have anything better.
