TBC Classic Protection Warrior Phase 5 / Tier 6 Gear and Best in Slot

In this guide we will go over the different gear available for Protection Warriors in Phase Five of TBC Classic. We will offer multiple different pieces as some can be rather expensive or very hard to obtain. In addition to that, we will show you different gear to look at for threat and for pure tankiness.

Hard Khorium Goggles are our best in slot option available in Phase 5, offering some much needed hit rating. Crown of Dath'Remar is an extremely tanky alternative option. You can even use Onslaught Greathelm to maintain your 4-set if you do not have Engineering.

Collar of the Pit Lord is an extremely tanky neck piece, even offering some expertise as a threat stat. For a pure threat neck, we will want to go with Hard Khorium Choker if we have Jewelcrafting.

Pauldrons of Perseverance are your go-to shoulders in Phase 5. For a threat option, you will want to go for Pauldrons of Berserking. Gem accordingly to your hit rating needs. Onslaught Shoulderguards are a viable option to maintain your 4-set bonus.

Onslaught Handguards are the recommended best in slot gloves, completing our 4-set bonus. Borderland Fortress Grips are our tanky glove options, while Hard Khorium Battlefists is our full threat option.

This Phase has many new rings for us to get. Ring of Hardened Resolve is a great overall ring, offering threat and mitigation. Hard Khorium Band is an easy to obtain crafted ring, giving us great threat stats. Finally, we can grab Ring of the Stalwart Protector with badges, gaining high tanky stats when needed.

Phase 5 has a few new trinkets available. Commendation of Kael'thas is an extremely powerful trinket, having the highest amount of stamina out of any other trinkets while also having a powerful proc. Shard of Contempt is a great threat option when your expertise is not high. Mix and match your trinkets based on the current boss.
