TBC Classic Shadow Priest Phase 2 / Tier 5 Gear and Best in Slot

In this guide we will go over the different gear available for Shadow Priests in Phase Two of TBC Classic. We will offer multiple different pieces as some can be rather expensive or very rare to find. Some slots have multiple "best" items that can change depending on your current gear and Hit Rating needs.

If you are starting out as a freshly-leveled Shadow Priest, our pre-raid best in slot list is meant to give you an idea of non-raid items you can chase as a solo / pug player in preparation for raids.

Do note that items from Heroic dungeons or that require Primal Nethers (which are obtained from Heroics) can be harder to get than raid items due to their daily lockout. Some Heroic dungeons are also harder than most of Karazhan.

If your character is still progressing through the content of Tier 4 or is ready to take on Tier 6, then you may wish to consult their best in slot lists instead.

Spellstrike Hood remains a very strong helmet and is only replaced when you have both your best in slot helm and legs from Tier 5.

Option	Wings of the Avatar	2 x Runed Living Ruby	Void Reaver — The Eye

Frozen Shadoweave Shoulders remain your best in slot option in Phase Two. If you are not a Tailor, aim for Wings of the Avatar.

Ruby Drape of the Mysticant is a great alternative if you still need Spell Hit, but you should aim to wear Royal Cloak of the Sunstriders if you obtain it.

Frozen Shadoweave Robe is still your best in slot chest piece in Phase Two. If you are not a Tailor, try to get Shroud of the Avatar.

Mindstorm Wristbands are a minor upgrade from Phase One wrists, offering a bit of base stats and high Spell Damage.

Best	Soul-Eater's Handwraps	2 x Runed Living Ruby	Magtheridon's Lair

Handwraps of Flowing Thought or Soul-Eater's Handwraps are still your best in slot gloves depending on your Spell Hit Rating needs.

Spellstrike Pants remain a very solid piece of gear in Phase Two. Trousers of the Astromancer are your upgrade when you have both the helm and leg upgrade options.

Frozen Shadoweave Boots still remain as your best in slot feet in Phase Two. Boots of the Shifting Nightmare are the go-to option if you do not have Tailoring.

You will want to use these rings whenever you can get them. Until then your Phase One rings are a close secondary option.

Option	Flawless Wand	BoE World Drop

Wand of the Forgotten Star is your next upgrade for your wand slot. Flawless Wand with the suffix "of Shadow Wrath" is a great option, but hard to find.
