The August Celestials are a faction that regroups Yulon, the Jade Serpent, ChiJi, the Red Crane, Xuen, the White Tiger, Niuzao the Black Ox, and their followers. Together, they watch over Pandaria.

After reaching level 90, you will be able to increase your reputation with the August Celestials by doing daily quests at the questing location of the day.

In this guide, we will detail the four questing locations and explain how to obtain all the related achievements.

Every day, you will be able to do the daily quests proposed by one of the August Celestials. Your questing location of the day is decided by the introductory daily quest given by the August Celestials Quartermasters: Sage Whiteheart at the Shrine of Seven Stars for Alliance players or Sage Lotusbloom at the Shrine of Twoo Moons for Horde players.

There are four possible introductory daily quests, each of them sending you to do daily quests for one of the August Celestials.

• Trial At The Temple of the White Tiger sends you to the Temple of the White Tiger in Kun-Lai Summit.
• Attack At The Temple of the Jade Serpent sends you to the Temple of the Jade Serpent in the Jade Forest.
• Challenge At The Temple of the Red Crane sends you to the Cradle of Chi-Ji in Krasarang Wilds.
• Defense At Niuzao Temple sends you to Niuzao Temple in the Townlong Steppes.

From the point of view of the reputation grind, questing at the Temple of the White Tiger will yield 1,250 reputation, while questing at any other location will yield 1,100 reputation. It will take you about a month to reach exalted reputation.

You can earn another 400 reputation a day by doing the August Celestials Work Order at your farm (see our Tillers guide).

There are achievements related to the daily quests. One of them is Champion of Chi-Ji. It will require you to do the daily quests at the Cradle of Chi-Ji 15 times.

As soon as you reach revered reputation with the August Celestials, make sure to purchase the Grand Commendation of the August Celestials from the faction quartermaster. Using this item will allow you to reach exalted reputation much faster.

In order to increase your reputation gains with the August Celestials, you can choose to champion them in the reputation tab of your character panel. This will cause you to gain addition reputation when doing various activities, but mostly through running Heroic dungeons and scenarios.

All the rewards, with the exception of one mount, can be bought from the August Celestials Quartermasters: Sage Whiteheart at the Shrine of Seven Stars for Alliance players, or Sage Lotusbloom at the Shrine of Twoo Moons for Horde players.

After reaching exalted reputation, you can buy the August Celestials Tabard, which costs 10 .

After reaching exalted reputation, you can buy the Reins of the Thundering August Cloud Serpent, which cost 10,000 .

In addition, you can obtain the Reins of the Thundering Ruby Cloud Serpent by killing Alani, the cloud serpent that flies around the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. This second mount also requires exalted with the August Celestials.

Alani is normally protected from your attacks by a Nimbus Shroud. The only way to remove this protection is to use a Sky Crystal, which you obtain after combining 10 Skyshards. Skyshards have an extremely low chance to drop from mobs in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms or to be contained in the Treasures of the Vale item you receive after completing your Golden Lotus daily quests.

During the Mists of Pandaria beta, we made a short video to show the various Cloud Serpent mounts we had collected:

As soon as you reach honored reputation, you will be able to buy a Celestial Offering. Having this item on you will enable you to obtain a buff when you are doing your daily quests:

• Temple of the White Tiger: Blessing of the White Tiger;
• Grounds of the Temple of the Jade Serpent: Blessing of the Jade Serpent;
• Cradle of Chi-Ji: Blessing of the Red Crane;
• Niuzao Temple: Blessing of the Black Ox.

The daily quests at the Temple of the White Tiger are made up of 1 lone daily quest and a daily quest line of 4 quests. For the lone quest and the quest line you have two possibilities every day. In total, you will receive 1,250 reputation with the August Celestials (250 per quest) when you are sent to quest at the Temple of the White Tiger.

The lone daily quest is either The Torch of Strength given by Lin Tenderpaw or Contending With Bullies given by Xuen.

• The Torch of Strength requires you to bring the torch you are given all the way to the entrance of the temple without it extinguishing. On your way to the temple, you will have to avoid mini-tornadoes that will extinguish the torch if you let them hit you. If you try to mount, your torch will blow out.
• Contending With Bullies sends you to kill Shonuf in the nearby village of Yinying.

Xuen will give you one of two daily quest lines, which are very similar and require you to defeat a number of opponents at the temple and its surrounding buildings.

• The first quest line is made up of the following quests:
  1. Round 1: Brewmaster Chani;
  2. Round 2: Clever Ashyo & Ken-Ken (incapacitate one of them while you kill the other);
  3. Round 3: The Wrestler (keep throwing chairs at him for a 10-second stun);
  4. Round 4: The P.U.G. (burn Healiss first).
• The second quest line is made up of the following quests:
  1. Round 1: The Streetfighter;
  2. Round 2: Kang Bramblestaff;
  3. Round 3: Master Boom Boom;
  4. Round 4: Master Windfur.

To complete the Finish Them! achievement, you simply need to complete both of the daily quest lines. In our experience, the first quest line is offered a lot more often than the second one.

When you are sent to quest at the Temple of the Jade Serpent, you will be able to earn a total of 1,100 reputation.

First, Elder Sage Tai-Feng and Elder Sage Storm-Sing will give you 3 daily quests (each rewarding 250 reputation) out of 5 possibilities:

• Arrows of Fortune (Tai-Feng);
• Behind the Masks (Storm-Sing);
• Hidden Power (Tai-Feng);
• Saving the Sutras (Storm-Sing);
• The Darkness Around Us (Tai-Feng).

After completing the first 3 quests, Elder Sage Tai-Feng will give you either The Shadow of Doubt or Flames of the Void. Both quest reward 350 reputation.

None of the above daily quests is really difficult. You just need to be careful, as there are a lot of enemies and you can easily pull more mobs than you can manage.

When you are sent to quest at the Cradle of Chi-Ji, you will be able to earn a total of 1,100 reputation.

First, you will be have to complete three daily quests, which reward 250 reputation each:

• Chasing Hope, given by Kuo-Na Quillpaw;
• Gifts of the Great Crane, given by Yan Quillpaw;
• Students of Chi-Ji, given by Thelonius.

After completing the first three quests, Thelonius will give you a daily quest that rewards 350 reputation and that requires you to be a champion of Chi-Ji. There is a fixed list of 15 fights you will have to do, each corresponding to a daily quest. Every time you do the daily quests at the Cradle of Chi-Ji, you will progress through the list and be given a new quest. There are 15 such quests. When you have completed them all, you will complete the Champion of Chi-Ji achievement and from then on, you will always be given Champion of Chi-Ji as the fourth and final daily quest.

The 15 daily quests are (in the order you will do them):

1. Ellia Ravenmane;
2. Minh Do-Tan;
3. Ellia Ravenmane: Rematch;
4. Fat Long-Fat;
5. Julia Bates;
6. Dextrous Izissha;
7. Kuo-Na Quillpaw;
8. Ellia Ravenmane: Revenge;
9. Tukka-Tuk;
10. Huck Wheelbarrow;
11. Mindel Sunspeaker;
12. Yan Quillpaw;
13. Fat Long-Fat: Rematch;
14. Thelonius;
15. Ellia Ravenmane: Redemption.

As we explained above, completing the Champion of Chi-Ji requires you to do the daily quests at the Cradle of Chi-Ji 15 times. Each time you will defeat a new opponent, eventually granting you all the objectives.

When you are sent to quest at the Niuzao Temple, you will be able to earn a total of 1,100 reputation.

Ogo the Elder will give either The Unending Siege or The Siege Swells, each rewarding 350 reputation.

Other NPCs at the temple will give you 3 of 6 possible daily quests, each rewarding 250 reputation:

• A Blade is a Blade, given by Ogo the Younger;
• Fallen Sentinels, given by Yak-Keeper Kyana;
• In Battle's Shadow, given by High Adept Paosha;
• Paying Tribute, given by High Adept Paosha;
• The Big Guns, given by Ogo the Younger;
• The Overwhelming Swarm, given by Sentinel Commander Qipan.

To complete Yak Attack, you need to kill 15 Sra'thik attackers at the Niuzao Temple within 5 seconds.

The easiest way to do this achievement is by grouping with a tank and let them tank the adds while you kill them.

At times, Niuzao will be walking around the pit, damaging enemies in your path. You can try to engage 15 enemies yourself, wrap them up on Niuzao's path and control them until Niuzao comes and kills them (provided they are not at full health).
