WotLK Classic Balance Druid Gear and Best in Slot

Balance Druid Tier 10, Lasherweave Regalia, can only be obtained through Emblem of Frost and starts at item level 251. Once you have bought a piece, you can upgrade it to 264 with regular Vanquisher's Mark of Sanctification, which drop from Icecrown Citadel 10 man heroic and 25 man normal, and to 277 with heroic marks, which only drop in Icecrown Citadel 25-man heroic.

Its set bonuses are:

• 2 pieces — causes you to deal 15% additional Nature and Arcane damage for 6 sec after getting an Omen of Clarity proc. This is an excellent bonus which you can force to proc even more with the occasional melee swing in between instant casts;
• 4 pieces — causes your Starfire and Wrath critical strikes to deal 7% extra damage over 4 seconds. This effect works like Fire Mage Ignite and is a strong DPS increase, especially when Icecrown Citadel levels of gear are assumed.

As Tier 10 can have high item level and also has great standalone stats, you will want to get its bonuses as soon as possible, favoring using your Emblem of Frost on tier pieces until the 4-piece bonus is obtained.

Balance Druid Tier 9, Runetotem's Regalia, is obtained differently than before. Rather than dropping from specific bosses, the 258 item level pieces are all bought with the same Regalia of the Grand Protector, which drops in 25-man Heroic Trial of the Crusader.

You can use 10-man Heroic / 25-man Normal dropped Trophy of the Crusade and Emblem of Triumph to buy 245 item level pieces, and the lowest 232 item level versions can be bought with just Triumph Emblems.

Its set bonuses are:

• 2 pieces — enables critical strikes from the damage over time of Moonfire. This is a strong bonus which also leads to a rotational and recommended glyph change once you have it;
• 4 pieces — increases the damage done by Starfire and Wrath by 4%. A good and straightforward damage increase.

As Tier 9 can have high item level and also has great standalone stats this time, you will want to get its bonuses as soon as possible, favoring using your Emblem of Triumph on item level 245 pieces unless you never raid 10 man Heroic or the 25 man.

• Helm — Thorim in 25-man Ulduar or Mimiron in 10-man Ulduar;
• Chest — Hodir in 25-man Ulduar or Yogg-Saron in 10-man Ulduar;
• Legs — Freya in 25-man Ulduar or Hodir in 10-man Ulduar;
• Shoulders — Yogg-Saron in 25-man Ulduar or Thorim in 10-man Ulduar;
• Gloves — Mimiron in 25-man Ulduar or Freya in 10-man Ulduar.

Its set bonuses are:

• 2 pieces — increases the bonus granted by Eclipse for Starfire and Wrath by 7%. This is a very strong bonus overall and should be a priority to obtain;
• 4 pieces — causes your Insect Swarm damage ticks to have a chance to make your next Starfire cast within 10 sec instant. This bonus is also very strong on heavy movement fights, but less so when stationary.

You will want to get the 2-piece bonus as soon as possible, with the 4-piece bonus also being recommended for most fights. For fights where you can stand and cast for most of the time, having extra Hard Mode loot is preferable.

Balance Druid Tier 7, the Dreamwalker Garb, is obtained from the following bosses:

• Helm — Kel'Thuzad in Naxxramas
• Chest — The Four Horsemen in Naxxramas
• Legs — Thaddius in Naxxramas
• Shoulders — Loatheb in Naxxramas
• Gloves — Sartharion in The Obsidian Sanctum

Its set bonuses are:

• 2 pieces — causes your Insect Swarm to deal an additional 10% damage. As Insect Swarm will be your primary damage-over-time effect in Phase 1, this is a decent bonus.
• 4 pieces — increases the Critical Strike chance of Wrath and Starfire by 5%. As these two spells are the majority of your damage in single-target, this is an excellent set bonus!
