Balance Druid PvP Gear Guide for WotLK Classic

This is our guide for gearing in PvP as a Balance Druid. This gear will improve your odds in World PvP and Battlegrounds, but skill is still the most important factor in determining the winner of each match.

It can be useful to have up to 4% Spell Hit (PvP cap), in order to reliably land your Cyclones and Entangling Roots, but do not get it at any cost!

Using PvP gear with Resilience is generally the way to go, but it can be useful to also use some PvE items for increased DPS, especially if you have access to strong Raid gear and no Gladiator gear for that slot.

Any piece you lack from the best in slot list below can be temporarily replaced by Honor gear or whatever questing or crafted gear you have.

Spell Penetration is a noteworthy stat for countering the small amount of resistances awarded by Mark of the Wild, Mage Armor, and similar buffs. Fortunately Balance Druids deal Nature and Arcane damage, which have no Paladin aura counter, so a small amount of Spell Penetration is more than enough, which will come from Enchant Cloak - Spell Piercing and Stormy Majestic Zircons used for Blue Socket bonuses on your gear.

As a Balance Druid, you should use Chaotic Skyflare Diamond to increase your burst damage, Runed Cardinal Ruby in Red Sockets, one Kharmaa's Grace and Mystic King's Amber in Yellow Sockets, and Stormy Majestic Zircon in Blue Sockets.

Phase 3 introduced epic gems from prospecting Titanium Ore. You can also transmute them with Alchemy or buy them with emblems.
