WotLK Classic Cooking Profession and Leveling 1-450 Guide
Cooking allows players to create food and drinks for consumption. This is mostly used to create raid-consumable food for various different buffs. Cooking is a secondary profession, meaning it does not take up one of the primary slots that others would such as Engineering or Tailoring.
If you are going to train up Cooking, we recommend getting skill-ups for it alongside Fishing, as you can use most of the fish that you catch to level up Cooking at the same time.
Cooking is one of the three secondary professions available to all players in WotLK Classic. Because of this, it can be learned by all players without conflicting with other professions. This can be useful early on to provide yourself with free food while leveling.
Cooking goes great when paired together with Fishing as you can use most of the fish you catch while Cooking to level your cooking at the same time, leveling 2 professions for free at once.
Training Cooking in Wrath of the Lich King
Apprentice & Artisan
You can learn Cooking from any Cooking trainer, which are found in capital cities. This will mark its location on your map, allowing you to easily find them and get the Cooking skill.
Master
To train past 300 skill level, you need to speak with a Master Cooking trainer in either Outland or Northrend. This will allow you to train up to level 375 Cooking.
Grand Master
To learn Cooking past 375 skill level you must travel to Northrend and talk with a Grand Master Cooking trainer found below. This will allow you to max your Cooking skill out at 450.

Leveling Cooking in Northrend (350-450)
Be sure to head to a Grand Master Cooking trainer in Northrend as shown above to unlock Grand Master Cooking, allowing you to max out your Cooking at 450 skill level.
350-400
The cheapest way to level from 350-400 is by making Kungaloosh. This
recipe however can only be learned by completing a long quest chain in
Sholazar Basin, ending with the quest Fletcher's Lost and Found,
which will automatically teach you how to make
Kungaloosh. Since both of
the reagents needed to make
Kungaloosh can be purchased from a vendor,
this recipe is very easy and cheap to make, only costing around 50 silver per
skill-up.
If you wish to skip the long quest chain, or are looking for other ways to level cooking, use one of the recipes below to skill up until 400. Check your servers price on the reagents and use whichever recipe is the cheapest:

400-425
Black Jelly is the best way to level from 400-425 as it does not
require
Northern Spices to make, allowing you to easily level up. Be sure
to check the price of
Borean Man O' War on your server and try to buy it
whenever it is cheap.
425-450
The only way to continue leveling at this point is by using one of the
patterns that can be purchased with Dalaran Cooking Award. This will
require you to complete cooking dailies
to be able to purchase the recipes. Below is a list of all of the recipes you
can buy and use to finish leveling your cooking skill to 450. Some food will be
in higher demand than others, make sure to check your server's auction house to
find whichever food is in highest demand.
