Because of the different stat values, as discussed in our stats page, the value of each gem varies, depending on the stats they provide.

The Red Gems are usually the most valuable, allowing you to get to the Armor Penetration soft cap and Expertise cap. Blue Gems have Stamina and Yellow Gems have Hit. Socket color bonuses are usually worth it but it depends on the specific stat given for the bonus and how many Blue Gems you need to put in to unlock it.

Phase 3 introduced epic gems from prospecting Titanium Ore. You can also transmute them with Alchemy or buy them with emblems.

Relentless Earthsiege Diamond is the best Meta Gem for Feral DPS Druids, increasing your damage substantially and making your frequent Critical Strikes deal even more damage!

Fractured Cardinal Ruby is the main gem that you should be putting into Red Sockets until you can hit the Armor Penetration soft cap while effects such as Mjolnir Runestone are up. Once that is done, use Precise Cardinal Ruby until you are close to the 26 Expertise cap. If you are done with those caps and still have red sockets left, use Bold Cardinal Ruby for maximum AP gains.

One Nightmare Tear is the best Blue Gem, and should be the only blue gem used in your setup, to activate Relentless Earthsiege Diamond at the minimum cost of DPS stats possible.

Rigid King's Amber is the best Yellow Gem if you need help towards the Hit cap, and the hybrid Accurate Ametrine can also be used if you also need Expertise help.

Once you are capped on those, use Inscribed Ametrine in most cases, unless you are past the soft critical strike cap, which should only happen at extremely high gear levels and while during the effect of critical strike increasing effects, such as Death's Choice and Idol of Mutilation. If that is the case, you should use Fierce Ametrine, instead.

While we will be listing only the best consumable options below, there are a lot of slightly less powerful options that can be used to save gold if the proposed consumables are too expensive in your server.

Flask of Endless Rage is the recommended flask for Feral DPS, and is a good option during progress on hard bosses because it does not get removed on death.

Elixirs are not recommended for Feral DPS Druids.

Use Hearty Rhino if you need the 40 Armor Penetration to hit the soft cap, or Dragonfin Filet otherwise.

Potion of Speed is the best DPS potion for Feral DPS Druids.
