WotLK Classic Feral Druid DPS Gear and Best in Slot
On this page, you will find the best PvE gear and best in slot items for your Feral Druid DPS in WotLK Classic.
Feral DPS Druid Wrath Best in Slot Lists
While a clear best in slot list is always available in Wrath Classic, the items contained might be extremely hard or expensive to get. Thus, we will try to give at least one alternative for most slots in the list, so that you can pick where and how to farm them.
The list will focus on gathering the best stats for Feral DPS Druid, as described in our guide below.
Other Feral DPS Druid Best in Slot Lists
If you are starting out as a freshly-leveled Feral DPS Druid, our pre-raid best in slot list is meant to give you an idea of non-raid items you can chase as a solo / pug player in preparation for raids:
Best In Slot by Phase
Phase 5 Best in Slot Table
Wrath Classic Phase 4 Feral Druid Tier Set
Feral Druid Tier 10, Lasherweave Battlegear, can only be obtained through Emblem of Frost and starts at item level 251. Once you have bought a piece, you can upgrade it to 264 with regular Vanquisher's Mark of Sanctification, which drop from Icecrown Citadel 10 man heroic and 25 man normal, and to 277 with heroic marks, which only drop in Icecrown Citadel 25-man heroic.
Its set bonuses are:
- 2 pieces — causes your Swipe (Bear) and Lacerate abilities to deal 20% additional damage and the cost of your Rip ability is reduced by 10 energy. This is a decent bonus which increases your Energy efficiency slightly;
- 4 pieces — causes your Enrage ability to no longer decrease your armor and instead decrease all damage taken by 12%. It also allows the periodic damage done by Rake to critical strike. As Rake is already a large damage contributor without being able to Crit and your Critical Strike with Phase 4 gear is very high, the damage gain from this bonus is extremely high and should be your main priority in this phase!
Because of its exceptional 4-piece bonus and Tier 10 also being able to have high item level, you will want to get its bonuses as soon as possible, favoring using your Emblem of Frost on tier pieces until the 4-piece bonus is obtained.
Phase 4 Best in Slot Table
Wrath Classic Phase 3 Feral Druid DPS Tier Set
Feral Druid Tier 9, Runetotem's Battlegear, is obtained differently than before. Rather than dropping from specific bosses, the 258 item level pieces are all bought with the same Regalia of the Grand Protector, which drops in 25-man Heroic Trial of the Crusader.
You can use 10-man Heroic / 25-man Normal dropped Trophy of the Crusade and Emblem of Triumph to buy 245 item level pieces, and the lowest 232 item level versions can be bought with just Triumph Emblems.
Its set bonuses are:
- 2 pieces — decreases the cooldown on Growl by 2 sec, increases the periodic damage done by Lacerate by 5%, and increases the duration of Rake by 3 sec. This is a small damage bonus and quality of life increase, as you will have to refresh Rake less often;
- 4 pieces — reduces the cooldown of Barkskin by 12 seconds and increases the critical strike chance of Rip and Ferocious Bite by 5%. While a Shred bonus would have been much better, these bonuses are a small, but welcome, damage increase.
As Tier 9 can have high item level and also has great standalone stats this time, you will want to get its bonuses as soon as possible, favoring using your Emblem of Triumph on item level 245 pieces unless you never raid 10 man Heroic or the 25 man.

Wrath Classic Phase 3 Feral Druid DPS Tier Set
Feral Druid Tier 9, Malfurion's Battlegear, is obtained differently than before.

Wrath Phase 2 Feral DPS Druid Tier Set
Feral DPS Druid Tier 8, the Nightsong Battlegear, is obtained from the following bosses:
- Helm — Thorim in 25-man Ulduar or Mimiron in 10-man Ulduar;
- Chest — Hodir in 25-man Ulduar or Yogg-Saron in 10-man Ulduar;
- Legs — Freya in 25-man Ulduar or Hodir in 10-man Ulduar;
- Shoulders — Yogg-Saron in 25-man Ulduar or Thorim in 10-man Ulduar;
- Gloves — Mimiron in 25-man Ulduar or Freya in 10-man Ulduar.
Its set bonuses are:
- 2 pieces — causes the periodic damage dealt by your Rake, Rip, and Lacerate abilities to have a chance to cause you to enter a Clearcasting state. This is a great bonus for DPS and should be prioritized;
- 4 pieces — increases the duration of Savage Roar and Survival Instinct by 8 sec. The DPS impact of this bonus is negligible and it can be safely ignored.
As the 2-piece bonus is very powerful, you will want to quickly obtain it, with the 4-set being negligible. As a Feral DPS Druid you also do not need to worry particularly about hitting the Expertise and Hit caps, as the Energy refund of Primal Precision plus the natural Energy refund on special attacks allows you to just repeat attacks until you hit with minimal waste.

Wrath Phase 1 Feral DPS Druid Tier Set
Feral DPS Druid Tier 7, the Dreamwalker Battlegear, is obtained from the following bosses:
- Helm — Kel'Thuzad in Naxxramas
- Chest — The Four Horsemen in Naxxramas
- Legs — Thaddius in Naxxramas
- Shoulders — Loatheb in Naxxramas
- Gloves — Sartharion in The Obsidian Sanctum
Its set bonuses are:
- 2 pieces — causes your Rip last for an additional 4 seconds and your Lacerate to deal 5% extra damage. The Rip bonus is a large damage and quality of life increase for Feral DPS Druids.
- 4 pieces — increases the duration of Barkskin by 3 seconds and decreases the cooldown of Tiger's Fury by 3 seconds. A Tiger's Fury 3-second cooldown decrease is simply too small to make a significant difference.
