Getting to Northrend in Wrath of the Lich King Classic
This guide focuses on giving you quick and clear directions on how you can reach Northrend as either Alliance or Horde and begin your journey in Wrath of the Lich King Classic.
When setting out into Wrath of the Lich King Classic, you will have to decide which zone you want to enter first, either Borean Tundra or Howling Fjord. Both locations have different entry points that require you to head to completely different locations in Azeroth. Decide where you want to go and find out how to get there down below.
How to get to Borean Tundra as Alliance in Wrath of the Lich King
As an Alliance player looking to travel to Borean Tundra, you will need to head to Stormwind City and go down to the Stormwind Harbor. The boat on the far right is the one you need to catch, as this one heads directly to the Alliance base camp in Borean Tundra.
How to get to Howling Fjord as Alliance in Wrath of the Lich King
As an Alliance player looking to travel to Howling Fjord, you will need to head to Menethil Harbor in the Wetlands. When approaching the docks, head down the right side and wait at the end of the dock for the boat to arrive. This boat will take you directly to the Alliance base camp in Howling Fjord.
How to get to Borean Tundra as Horde in Wrath of the Lich King
As a Horde player looking to travel to Borean Tundra, you will need to travel to Orgrimmar. Head outside of the front gate and take a right. There is a new zeppelin tower that was added in WotLK that will take you directly to the Horde Base Camp in Borean Tundra.
How to get to Howling Fjord as Horde in Wrath of the Lich King
As a Horde player looking to travel to Howling Fjord, you will need to head to the Undercity and run out of the front gate. Here you are looking to take the new zeppelin tower added in WotLK found on the left. This zeppelin will take you directly to the Horde base camp in Howling Fjord.
