When Will Phase 5 of WOTLK Go Live?

Phase 5 will be launching on January 11th, 2024 with the Ruby Sanctum raid releasing on the same day.

New Phase 5 Content

  • New single-boss raid: Twilight Dragon Halion in The Ruby Sanctum.
    • 2.1.

    Ruby Sanctum

    The Ruby Sanctum is a single-boss raid encounter located beneath the Wyrmrest Temple in Dragonblight. Head inside to face the mighty Twilight Dragon Halion on either 10 or 25 player, Normal or Heroic difficulty. There is no attunement or prerequisite to enter this raid.

    Cataclysm Awaits

    While The Ruby Sanctum marks the end of Wrath of the Lich King, it also paves the path going forward for the next expansion, Cataclysm, to release once again. Players will be able to experience Cataclysm Classic and wage war against the Black Dragonflight, taking down the ancient dragon, Deathwing.

    Alongside new dungeons and raids, players will be able to play as either Worgen (Alliance) or Goblin (Horde).

    • Worgen, a fierce race resembling a werewolf, may be selected as a player's preferred race when playing Death Knight, Druid, Hunter, Mage, Priest, Rogue, Warlock or Warrior.
    • Goblin, once slaves to the jungle trolls on the Isle of Kezan, may be selected as a player's preferred race when playing Death Knight, Shaman, Hunter, Mage, Priest, Rogue, Warlock or Warrior.

    Cataclysm Classic is set to be released on Augest 31st, 2024. We at Icy Veins look forward to continuing to provide the WoW Classic community with guides for Cataclysm and all future expansions to come!
