The Violet Hold Dungeon Guide

Before heading into Violet Hold, we advise you to get all the dungeon quests related to it. To make this process easier, we have written a separate guide for the quests and their chains.

This dungeon is found in Dalaran City itself, on the Southeastern side of the city.

Here we will give you a full rundown of what you can expect from each of the bosses found here on both Normal and Heroic difficulties as well as the items they drop.

After wave 6 and wave 12 you will get a random one of the following bosses below. After wave 18 you will always get Cyanigosa.

Quickly deal with the 2 adds that accompany Erekem. Make sure to interrupt the heals and remove any buffs Erekem gives himself.

This boss deals high damage over time; keep the targets of his debuffs healed full.

Avoid being in front of the boss if possible to avoid the Flame Breath. Lavanthor will throw Lava Burn at a random enemy, leaving Lava Burn fire patches at the same location, dealing high Fire damage-over-time.

Ichoron starts off with Protective Bubble. Attack the boss 35 times to remove the bubble. Ichoron will then burst into 10 Ichor Globules which slowly move back to the boss's body. Quickly kill these before they reach Ichoron. Stay spread out to avoid the knockback and continue to repeat the cycle of breaking the Protective Bubble and killing the Ichor Globules.

Cyanigosa is a standard dragon fight, having a frontal attack in Uncontrollable Energy and rear attack with Tail Sweep. Be sure to attack her from the sides if you are not the tank. Periodically Cyanigosa will pull in all enemies with Arcane Vacuum and spawn Blizzard on a random player. Quickly spread back out and avoid the Blizzard.

Achievement	Description
The Violet Hold	Defeat the bosses in The Violet Hold.
Heroic: The Violet Hold	Defeat the The Violet Hold bosses on Heroic Difficulty.
A Void Dance	Defeat Zuramat the Obliterator in The Violet Hold on Heroic Difficulty without killing any void sentries.
Defenseless	Defeat Cyanigosa in The Violet Hold without using Defense Control Crystals and with Prison Seal Integrity at 100% while in Heroic Difficulty.
Lockdown!	Defeat Xevozz, Lavanthor, Ichoron, Zuramat the Obliterator, Erekem, and Moragg in The Violet Hold on Heroic Difficulty.
Dehydration	Defeat Ichoron in the Violet Hold on Heroic Difficulty without allowing any Ichor Globules to merge.
