Season of Discovery Destruction Warlock DPS Guide

Destruction Warlocks in World of Warcraft Classic have never been considered a powerhouse when it comes to DPS. They're known for having a boring rotation of pressing one button and are taken in raid mainly for their curses, healthstones, summons and soulstones. With Season of Discovery's new Rune system, Destruction Warlocks get a total revamp. Rather than spamming Shadow Bolt, you now get to cast all Fire spells like Incinerate, Backdraft, Immolation Aura, Chaos Bolt and more, which leads to a much more fun, powerful and high sought out spec.

With these changes, and more, Warlocks will become a very sought-after DPS due to not only their much needed Curse of the Elements, Curse of Shadow, and Curse of Recklessness, which can now be all applied instantly thanks to the Mark of Chaos rune, but also their high damage and AoE, Healthstones, Summoning and more.

Strengths

• One of the strongest solo levelers in the game
• Unique utility, especially with the ability to summon
• Very strong AoE and single target damage
• Amazing debuffs that are required in all raids

Weaknesses

• Extremely high competition for gear against the other casters
• Struggles without Hit and has no help from talents for Hit on their main spells
• Generates more threat than any other class, with no way to get rid of it
• Has to farm Soul Shards
