Holy Paladin Healer Season of Mastery Phase 1/2 Gear

This is the gear we recommend you to chase while doing the first raids in the game: Molten Core and Onyxia's Lair. If you are instead progressing through Tier 2 / Blackwing Lair, Tier 2.5 / AQ40, or Tier 3 / Naxxramas, see our updated lists for later phases instead.

Paladin's Tier 1, Lawbringer Armor is a poorly designed set that provides some stats for every role instead of providing adequate stats for a single role, making it not great for Holy Paladins. Instead, most of your BiS setup in this phase will come from off pieces from Molten Core, or even just dungeon gear in some slots. Make sure when looking for upgrades that you consider cloth and leather pieces as well as plate, since you do not lose anything other than some armor from using different armor types.

* Note 1: Choker of the Fire Lord, Mana Igniting Cord, Azuresong Mageblade, Ring of Spell Power, and Robe of Volatile Power are caster DPS items and you will not make friends taking them, as most of them are only a very very small upgrade or not one at all. Furthermore, most of these items will be replaced very quickly in future content.

As this list is meant to be used for Holy Paladins in WoW Classic's Season of Mastery, we have created separate gear lists for those interested in optimizing themselves for the "main" branch of Classic instead.
