Mage Pre-Raid Best in Slot (BiS) List

This is the pre-raid gear we recommend for each phase. The first 4 phases emphasize frost damage gear, as the main 40-man raids in those phases are played as Frost Mage. The Phase 5 and 6 Pre-Raid BiS will include Fire damage gear, as Mages will spec into Fire for those 40-man raids.

The 6 phases are as follows:

Honor System, World Bosses, Warsong + Alterac Valley Battlegrounds
Blackwing Lair, Darkmoon Faire
Zul'Gurub, Arathi Battleground, Nightmare Dragons

You will be looking for gear with a lot of (Frost/Fire) Spell damage, Spell Hit, Spell Crit and Intellect, with Stamina being a secondary concern.

While we are only listing the Horde versions of the PvP set and PvP reputation gear, equivalent versions can be found on the Alliance side, with the same requirements, cost and stats.
