Season of Discovery Phase 8 Content Guide

Season of Discovery Phase 8 goes live this week and we’re diving into what to expect from the potentially last phase of SoD!

Release Dates

Season of Discovery Phase 8 will go live on April 8 in North America or April 9 in Europe.

April 8 (US) / April 9 (EU) – New Outdoor Content, profession content in New Avalon, and Scarlet Enclave-related quest content will become available.
April 10 – Scarlet Enclave Raid and Legendary Weapon Questline will become available at 1:00 PM PDT globally.

Two new questlines that start in Light’s Hope Chapel will be available.
Scarlet Base Camp is a new area in the southern Eastern Plaguelands created for Phase 8. You will find the entrance to the new raid there.
They’ve also added New Avalon in Phase 8, which plays an important role in the Death Knight starting area.
Via new recipes, you will craft a new Scarlet Uniform set and unlock an insignia that lets you interact with nearly everyone in New Avalon.
When you’re friendly with the New Avalon, there are a ton of Profession quests.

The new 8-boss raid is located in Eastern Plaguelands. Bosses include Balnazzar, Lilian Voss in her original form, and Beatrix.
It takes place in the Alpha version of Scarlet Monastery, where all the wings are connected in a giant raid.

As with every raid, we’re getting brand new tier sets.
Tier sets drop from raid bosses, but they’re also on a vendor. You will need a Scarlet Insignia to talk to the vendor, and you also need a Scarlet Chalice item that has a chance to drop from the new weekly quest. You can

Hunters, Paladins, and Warriors can embark on an epic quest for the Ashbringer. Right now we don’t know much about how to get it.
According to the data, there are multiple versions of the Ashbringer: the Corrupted one, a broken one, and a restored one.

The cap’s increasing to 250 (up from 150).
On patch day, you can purchase Blackwing Lair class weapon quest items from the same vendor.
You need 150 reals to buy the quest item, start a questline, and receive a powerful weapon at the end of it.

On the character select, you can select a Mode for Classic you would like to play. Choices include Classic Era, Classic Era Hardcore, SoD, 20th Anniversary Realms, and 20th Anniversary Hardcore realms.
