Nerub'ar Palace Raid Builds, Tips, and Tricks for Augmentation Evoker
Tips for Ulgrax the Devourer for Augmentation Evoker
Buff Tips
- Main Phase During this Phase, the boss is a single target encounter, so we recommend following the normal ST buff priority from our Buffs page.
- Intermission During this Phase, the boss is invulnerable and charges across the room. There are a large number of small adds to cleave, so we suggest buffing classes with high AOE damage, like Warrior or an Arcane Mage, if their cooldowns are up.
Defensive Tips
- You may want to use Obsidian Scales if you are at low HP when Hungering Bellows happens. We also suggest using Renewing Blaze after the damage from Hungering Bellows has ramped up a little bit to keep you healthy toward the end. You can also use Zephyr to make your close allies tankier against the final few hits of this mechanic.
Mechanical Tips
- The adds during the intermission leave stacks of a bleed on the tank. We suggest using Cauterizing Flame to remove the stacks of the bleed when it gets too high.

Tips for Bloodbound Horror for Augmentation Evoker
Buff Tips
This boss splits the raid into two groups, which can lower the efficiency of your buffs since you won't necessarily always have the best targets in range.
- Main Phase During this Phase, the boss is a single target encounter, so we recommend following the normal Single Target buff priority from our Buffs page.
- Down Phase During this Phase, there are small adds and some main adds. We suggest buffing specs with good free cleave or the ability to hit multiple targets, or specs with incredibly powerful cooldowns if they line up, such as Arcane Mage.
Defensive Tips
- Try to use Obsidian Scales before the Bloodcurdle aoes and we suggest using Renewing Blaze before Gruesome Disgorge as it will heal back the damage you take and keep you healthy for the initial bit of the dot.
Mechanical Tips
- Nothing fancy here yet, but do check back in after the Season has been out for a couple of weeks to see if any tricks or tips have been found.

Tips for Sikran for Augmentation Evoker
Defensive Tips
- Make sure to press one of your defensives if you are marked by Phase Blades as this deals heavy damage.
- Make sure to press one of your defensives during Decimate, as breaking the simulacrums will deal heavy raid-wide damage even if you are not targeted.
Mechanical Tips
- You can use Cauterizing Flame to remove the Bleed that reduces healing on you from Phase Blades.

Tips for Rasha'nan for Augmentation Evoker
- This is mostly a single target fight that spawns large waves of adds later on. We suggest initially focusing on buffing high Single Target specs from our buff guide as the adds spawned do not count for logs.
Defensive Tips
- If you are low on HP as Erosive Spray is going out, consider using a defensive. Renewing Blaze is very potent here because it is a DoT.
- If you get Spinneret's Strands this is also a good time to use a defensive as this does a large burst of damage to you and the raid as people snap the tethers.
Mechanical Tips
- Use Rescue to move quickly after the boss as it flies away. We suggest using Rescue to carry high impact but low mobility classes like Priests, Death Knights, and Paladins preferring healers to make their lives easier.

Tips for Broodtwister Ovi'nax for Augmentation Evoker
- This fight has a boss that is always active and continuously spawning adds giving significant permanent cleave. We suggest initially buffing classes that do high single target burst on pull and then afterward sitting on classes that do good AOE damage. Current best targets for AoE on this fight are Frost Death Knights and Fury Warriors as they have exceptional AoE Burst during the adds. Other classes can also perform very well so we suggest looking at who does the most AoE damage during each egg break in your raid and buffing them.
- On Mythic Difficulty we suggest using your Breath of Eons (as a Scalecommander) on the 1st Adds, 3rd Adds, 4th Adds, 6th Adds, 7th Adds (With Bloodlust) and finally the 9th adds if you will get them. If it does not look like you will then use Breath of Eons as it comes off cooldown. Make sure to prioritise buffing the classes that do the most AoE Damage during these windows such as Frost Death Knight and Fury Warriors.
Defensive Tips
- Because Volatile Concoction deals damage based on how much health the tank is missing. If the tank with this debuff has a large amount of health missing we suggest using a charge of Obsidian Scales.
- Renewing Blaze is very good during Ingest Black Blood or Experimental Dosage egg breaks as the damage you take will help heal off the absorb shield the mechanic leaves on you.
Mechanical Tips
- You can use Upheaval and Tail Swipe to stop the Spiderlings from finishing their fixate cast. On Mythic Difficulty it is paramount these adds die quickly and do not break free from the CC chain.

Tips for Nexus-Princess Ky'veza for Augmentation Evoker
Buff Tips
- This is a pure Single Target encounter, so we suggest using the advice from our buffs page.
Defensive Tips
- Use a defensive if you get targeted by Assassination and get Queensbane. Renewing Blaze is particularly amazing here and can almost completely negate the damage you take.
- Use a defensive during the intermission if you get targeted by Regicide and are not full health.
Mechanical Tips
- Nothing fancy here yet, but do check back in after the Season has been out for a couple of weeks to see if any tricks or tips have been found.

Tips for The Silken Court for Augmentation Evoker
Buff Tips
- This is a two-target cleave encounter. This will heavily favour specialisations that can cleave two targets like Affliction Warlock. The bosses start initially stacked, which allows classes like Arcane and Enhancement to do their full burst on the pull, which makes them a good candidate right now for initial buffs. Enhancement in general performs exceptionally well on this fight and is already a good Augmentation buff target. If you have a good Enhancement they are good targets for the entire fight. Other good targets include Frost Death Knights and Arms Warriors.
Defensive Tips
- We recommend using a defensive whenever Anub'arash uses Reckless Charge as this does a very heavy burst of damage.
- Renewing Blaze is very good during Unleashed Swarm.
- The pull in from Web Vortex can be lethal as the forced movement can make it take longer for healers to heal you so this is is a good time to use a defensive. Additionally, you can use Rescue to move you and someone else outside of the circle immediately allowing them to go back to DPSing or Healing.
Mechanical Tips
- Rescue is useful fairly often in this fight to help players get out of the Web Vortex pull in quickly. It is also useful as a defensive throughout the fight because of Twin Guardian.

Tips for Queen Ansurek for Augmentation Evoker
Buff Tips
- Phase One: During this Phase, the boss is mostly a single target encounter, so we recommend following the normal ST buff priority from our Buffs page. The boss does spawn low health adds when it uses Silken Tomb if you are looking to parse this is a good time to buff pure burst AOE classes like Fury Warrior.
- Intermission: During the intermission the boss has a shield active and is continually pulling you in towards it. Outside of the forced movement this is just a short duration ST burn. We suggest following standard ST buff priority here but checking if anyone in your raid is using CDs on the shield is important to optimise damage as not everyone does.
- Intermission: After the shield is broken two adds spawn on opposite sides of the platform and must be single targeted down. After they die you get knocked onto a platform which signifies the start of Phase 2. We suggest standard out of CD buff priority on these adds, such as Enhancement Shamans.
- Phase Two - Platform 1: This is the first of the three Phase Two platforms which consists of a pair of adds. On this platform 2t cleave specs excel such as Devastation Evoker, Arms Warrior, Affliction and Destruction Warlocks. If any of your raid members use their CDs here they are also good targets.
- Phase Two - Platform 2: After the adds are defeated you can cross the bridge to the next platform, on the way over a large number of Caustic Spiderlings spawn that will get AOE'd down. Because of this we recommend buffing classes that have efficient AOE cleave as the 2nd buff on both platform 1 and platform 2 (e.g. Frost Death Knights) as they will do a large amount of damage to these spiderlings and the main adds on the next platforms. Outside of the Spiderlings there are also two main adds just like the first platform. One of the adds has 1 health and is in execute but has a large absorb shield while the other add is normal. The execute add means classes with execute damage perform slightly better on this platform than they would otherwise which favours classes like arms warriors.
- Phase Two - Platform 3: Similar to Platform 2 there will be a large number of Spiderlings as you cross the bridge. On this platform there is just one Add that has to die to end Phase Two and head into the third phase. Due to the spiderlings we suggest having an efficient cleave class buffed initially, before buffing a class that does good out of CDs ST damage.
- Phase Three: Phase three starts with pure Single Target as Queen
Ansurek does a long cast that does a large burst of damage at the end. A lot
of DPS classes hold their cooldowns to use them here so we recommend using
Breath of Eons here as well and buffing the best ST specs that are
using CDs.
Shortly after this she will cast Infest on the tank. After 5 seconds this will summon a large number of small adds. Due to this we suggest buffing classes that excel at AoE damage since they will be doing the most damage during this period.
After this she will use Royal Condemnation which will cause two shackles to spawn that need to be cleaved down, once again favouring classes with free efficient cleave like Warriors, Frost Death Knights or Devastation Evokers.
Next she will mark two players to drop portals, you want one inner and one outer, before pulling players towards her and as she casts Frothing Gluttony. Walk through the inner portal after the wave passes the outer portal. There is about 30 seconds of pure ST before the pattern repeats so we recommend buffing ST specs here.
After the first Frothing Gluttony the pattern will repeat except after Royal Condemnation and before Abyssal Infusion and Frothing Gluttony she will cast she will cast Queen's Summons summoning three large adds that spawn spread out that will get cleaved down. Classes that do large amounts of spread AoE cleave like Devastation Evoker, Affliction Warlock and Shadow Priest perform very well here.
Defensive Tips
- During Phase 1 we suggest using a defensive when Frothy Toxin is about to expire if you have more than 2 stacks as this damage can easily be lethal.
- Additionally during Phase 1 we suggest using a defensive during Silken Tomb if your health is low as this does a large burst of upfront damage.
- In Phase two the main mechanic to look out for is Wrest as this does a lot of damage. This is not too scary on platform 1 but can kill you if you are low. We suggest pressing a defensive if your health is low.
- In Phase Two on on platform two there will be two dispels ( Gloom Touch) that go out. On heroic difficulty and above these deal an extremely large burst of damage when dispelled or when they expire. This damage happens around the approximately same time as a Wrest cast so we suggest using Zephyr here alongside another personal. Additionally, look at your raidframes and see if another player is on low health and if they are use Rescue to give them a Twin Guardian absorb shield before the dispels or before the Wrest.
- In Phase 3 there is heavy damage every time a tank receives Gorge so these can be a good point to use Renewing Blaze to heal back up afterwards.
- We suggest using a defensive for Royal Condemnation as it deals heavy fall off damage and is one of the hardest hitting abilities in Phase 3.
- The debuff from Abyssal Infusion is a good place to use Renewing Blaze or another defensive as it deals ticking damage followed by a larger damage hit as it expires. This is not threatening if you are healthy which Renewing Blaze helps with.
Mechanical Tips
- In Phase Two you can use Rescue to save people if it looks like they are being pulled off the platform and you react quickly.
