Augmentation Evoker PvP Stat Priority, Gear, and Trinkets — The War Within (11.1.0)
Choosing your gear carefully is essential for your Augmentation Evoker in PvP. We give you a stat priority to help you choose items with the correct stats, followed by advice on how to select the rest of your gear and your trinkets.
This page is part of our Augmentation Evoker PvP Guide.
Stat Priority for Augmentation Evokers in PvP
The stat priority for Augmentation Evokers in PvP is as follows:
- Intellect;
- Versatility;
- Haste;
- Mastery;
- Critical Strike.
Intellect is the best stat in all situations. Versatility is the most important secondary stat as it increases the healing you do and reduces the damage you take. Haste is the next best stat. This allows you to cast your spells faster and increases your overall damage output.
Gear Recommendations
General Guidelines
In general, Augmentation Evokers want to get trinkets that increase their overall damage output. These trinkets can have a passive or on-use effect. For gear, you want anything that has Versatility and Mastery on it. This will increase your overall damage output and your survivability. Here is the best equipment we recommend you use as an Augmentation Evoker.

Augmentation Evoker Tier Set
As noted above, acquiring both your 2-set and 4-set bonus is crucial. It is also important to note that ALL tier sets are nerfed by 50% in PvP. Although this nerf is significant, tier sets are still important to acquire to maximize your chances of winning. For Augmentation Evokers, this is your tier set:
- 2-set: Your damaging spells have a chance to hit a
Jackpot!!, causing an
Upheaval at 100% effectiveness that does not knock enemies up. Casting
Breath of Eons always hits a
Jackpot!!
- 4-set: Your
Upheaval has a 50% chance to grant
Essence Burst.
Eruption cast with
Essence Burst deal 25% increased damage.
4-set is not required for Augmentation Evokers, but getting 2-set is recommended.
Augmentation Evoker Embellishments
Embellishments are bonuses that can be put on crafted gear. These effects can have a drastic impact on the game. You are only allowed to have 2 Embellishments equipped at the same time. Here are the recommended Embellishments for Augmentation Evokers:
Ascendance/
Writhing Armor Banding. While in combat,
Ascendance grants 89 of a random secondary stat, stacking up to 10 times.
Writhing Armor Banding doubles this affect. This combination of Embellishments is the best for Augmentation Evoker. Ascendance can only be crafted on a weapon.
Duskthread Lining. This Embellishment significantly increases your Versatility when you are above 80% health. This can be used if you do not want to double the affect of
Ascendance with
Writhing Armor Banding.
Gems and Enchants
Here are the best enchants for an Augmentation Evoker:
- Cloak:
Enchant Cloak - Chant of Burrowing Rapidity
- Chest:
Enchant Chest - Crystalline Radiance
- Bracers:
Enchant Bracer - Chant of Armored Speed
- Legs:
Sunset Spellthread
- Boots:
Enchant Boots - Scout's March
- Rings:
Enchant Ring - Radiant Haste
- Weapon:
Enchant Weapon - Authority of Radiant Power
Versatile Emerald is the best gem you can use. You also get access to 1 Meta Gem. You should use
Cognitive Bloodstone for the meta slot.
