Battle for Azeroth Rank 3 Profession Recipe Locations (BfA 8.1.5)

Note that if you are pushing towards a specific recipe, you can use the contracts that are available from those with the Inscription profession. These are often available on the auction house for a relatively low cost. Using one will grant 10 reputation for every world quest completed which will provide a quicker path towards your desired rank 3 recipes.

Some professions do not use reputation for higher recipe patterns and instead use Mark of Honor as a currency to exchange for rank 2 and rank 3 patterns. Rank 3 recipes that require Marks of Honor also require Marks of Honor for rank 2 recipes, so keep that in mind!

Alchemy is very important for doing high end content such as Mythic+ dungeons and raids as the potions and flasks used can give a significant advantage to those who use them! Potions and flasks require a high number of herbs and can be extremely expensive to make, so obtaining rank 3 recipes as soon as possible is both important and efficient in materials and gold. All Alchemy recipes can be unlocked through means of reputation gains or Work Order World Quests and require zero Marks of Honor.

The important patterns for dungeons and raiding are the Potion of Replenishment and Coastal Healing Potions. Coastal Healing Potions should be used by all players unless Warlocks and Healthstones are available.

Trinkets are a staple of the Alchemy profession which can be equipped to enhance the effects of healing and mana potions by 40% along with a primary stat proc. However, in Battle for Azeroth, new trinkets emerge for other utility purposes such as the new Endless Tincture of Renewed Combat which can be equipped at Level 111 and restores a significant amount of health whenever you kill a target that grants experience or honor which can make leveling faster with minimal downtime!

There are several new crafting recipes for bind-on-equip gear that require Platinum Ore. The Blacksmithing bind-on-pickup armor pieces are also upgraded to 385/400/415.

Cooking is a very valuable profession to level in Battle for Azeroth as food that provides stat bonuses are necessary in difficult content to enhance player power. Cooking is divided into a few categories with various power levels that can be created with meat and fish found around Zandalar and Kul Tiras along with some vendor materials.

These patterns are not very important as the food made here only restores health and mana and does not provide any Well Fed bonuses. All rank 3 recipes require Revered reputation with the Tortollan Seekers.

Large meals are the most efficient food for individuals to use and are more efficient than using feasts in Mythic+ dungeons and other sub-raid content. Feasts are resource intensive tables that players can interact with to obtain a stat bonus. Both of the feast rank 3 recipes can be purchased from the Tortollan Seekers at Revered reputation level.

Scribes provide a plethora of items that help do a variety of things within the World of Warcraft including changing talents, boosting power against a raid boss, and providing reputation bonus contracts. Rank 3 recipes for Inscription reduce the amount of materials required to craft each item.

Vantus Runes provide a significant damage, healing, and defensive bonus while fighting a raid boss that the Vantus Rune is selected for. The rank 1, rank 2, and rank 3 recipes for the Vantus Rune Technique: Uldir will drop from the Uldir raid bosses.

Tomes and Codexes of the Quiet Mind are used for switching talents while not in an area that allows for talent changes. Darkmoon Cards are usually very highly sought after as they can be combined into a deck which creates a powerful trinket that is desirable in early expansion content. The rank 3 Darkmoon Card recipe can be purchased from the Tortollan Seekers at Revered reputation.

Scribes can craft two different off-hand pieces of gear at item level 300 that may become item level 310 randomly while crafting. The Honorable version is purchased with 4 Marks of Honor while the other piece has its rank 3 recipe purchased from the Tortollan Seekers at Revered reputation.

Tailoring can create some cloth gear as well as some cloak pieces of gear at base item level 300 but can become level 310 randomly for each craft. Tailors can also craft bags of up to 32 item bag slots! In addition to gear and bags, Tailors can craft battle flags that have temporary battle boosts to the tailor and his or her allies in open world content.
