Defensive Tips

  • On each Tank Buster Icon Tank Buster cast use Death's Advance Icon Death's Advance (to not get knocked back) with Vampiric Blood Icon Vampiric Blood and Icebound Fortitude Icon Icebound Fortitude / Lichborne Icon Lichborne.

Cooldown Usage

  • On cooldown, unless the intermission is coming up then you will want to save them to take advantage of the vulnerability.

Mechanical Tips

  • The knockback from Tank Buster Icon Tank Buster can be negated with Death's Advance Icon Death's Advance.
  • All of the pit mechanics are susceptible to CC. This means you can grip them under the boss so they can be cleaved down easier!

Mythic Difficulty

  • The Support Rig adds can be gripped away (if they get too close) and slowed with Chains of Ice Icon Chains of Ice (to let a player in the raid with hard CC have more time to cast it).

  • Use Icebound Fortitude Icon Icebound Fortitude / Lichborne Icon Lichborne to mitigate the follow up damage from Lightning Bash Icon Lightning Bash. The follow up damage can be reduced with Anti-Magic Shell Icon Anti-Magic Shell.
  • Use Anti-Magic Shell Icon Anti-Magic Shell and Icebound Fortitude Icon Icebound Fortitude / Lichborne Icon Lichborne to mitigate the damage from Eruption Stomp Icon Eruption Stomp.

Defensive Tips

  • The auto attacks on this encounter deal Sonic damage. This means that they are not reduced by armour. This makes Death Strike Icon Death Strike a very valuable tool to have as this is based on your damage taken. While armour may not have an impact on the damage you take, you still need to maintain Bone Shield Icon Bone Shield for your wider toolkit.

  • On cooldown but if the intermission is coming up, hold them as the boss takes 99% less damage during this phase and you will have nothing to hit.

  • Heroic:If your group does not have any disease dispellers, Dancing Rune Weapon Icon Dancing Rune Weapon becomes valuable while tanking Hyenas, as it helps parry their auto attacks and prevent application of Infected Bite Icon Infected Bite stacks.
  • Use Anti-Magic Shell Icon Anti-Magic Shell, Vampiric Blood Icon Vampiric Blood and Icebound Fortitude Icon Icebound Fortitude / Lichborne Icon Lichborne for every Meltdown Icon Meltdown cast that you take.

  • Anti-Magic Shell Icon Anti-Magic Shell can be used to prevent Incinerator Icon Incinerator from spawning on you.
  • Heroic: Territorial Bombshell can be gripped once they are below 80% HP.

Mythic Difficulty

  • Your job as a Blood DK on this fight will be to never deal with the ball mechanic and just tank the boss and grip bombshells.
  • As you are the boss tank, this means you will get hit by every Meltdown Icon Meltdown.
  • Boss movement is completely in your control, make sure that you have the boss away from fire for each Electromagnetic Sorting Icon Electromagnetic Sorting cast as the bombshells spawn on newly spawned big garbage piles only.

  • Heroic: If you opt to soak 2x Foot-Blasters Icon Foot-Blasters in a row, you won't need much on the first one but be ready to Death Strike Icon Death Strike the damage you took. For the second soak you will want to use Icebound Fortitude Icon Icebound Fortitude and Anti-Magic Shell Icon Anti-Magic Shell.

  • Death's Advance Icon Death's Advance negates the movement speed reduction from running against the conveyor belt.

Tips for One-Armed Bandit for Blood Death Knight

Defensive Tips

  • If you ever need to click a pylon to trigger the effects again and remove Shocking Field Icon Shocking Fields you will take a large physical hit. One Death Strike Icon Death Strike should heal you back up. If you are low on HP before clicking the Pylon you may want to consider using Lichborne Icon Lichborne or Icebound Fortitude Icon Icebound Fortitude before clicking.

Mechanical Tips

  • Be ready with Death's Advance Icon Death's Advance to run away with The Big Hit Icon The Big Hit as it drops a pool after the cast completes. This does not give you a debuff so as soon as you see the boss casting the ability run away! Optionally you can talent into Wraith Walk Icon Wraith Walk for a bigger speed boost and it will be available for each hit you take.
  • The 3 Coin Attendants have fixed locations. Be ready to drag the boss on top of them after it uses Pay to Win Icon Pay to Win.
  • Be mindful of the Voltaic Streak Icon Voltaic Streak beams in the enrage phase. These will connect from the pylons which you have placed in the previous phase to the boss.

  • Do not soak any Earthshaker Gaol Icon Earthshaker Gaol's. If the boss follows you inside there the adds will enrage
  • Molten Gold Knuckles Icon Molten Gold Knuckles requires heavy movement after you land from the knock back. If you are struggling with this the stun applied at the end can be removed with Icebound Fortitude Icon Icebound Fortitude.
  • If you opt to soak mines make sure you have Death's Advance Icon Death's Advance active as this will prevent the knockback from soaking it.

Tips for Chrome King Gallywix for Blood Death Knight

  • Be ready to use Anti-Magic Shell Icon Anti-Magic Shell after each Scatterblast Canisters Icon Scatterblast Canisters in Phase 1 and Bigger Badder Bomb Blast Icon Bigger Badder Bomb Blast in Phase 3.
  • Many soak based mechanics will apply a heal absorb on you, be ready to simply Death Strike Icon Death Strike the heal absorb away.

  • If you use Abomination Limb Icon Abomination Limb on pull, it will be ready for the first intermission and it will then be available for every other intermission phase.
