Lore
Chronomatic Anomaly is the second boss in the Nighthold.
The cavern at the base of the Nightwell is a maelstrom of raw energy, as the power to fuel an entire civilization courses from the earth. Born from this chaotic flux, the Chronomatic Anomaly is an embodiment of the power of the Eye of Aman'thul. As it lashes out with energy attacks, the bursts of energy warp the very flow of time.
Outline
The Chronomatic Anomaly is a single phase encounter with a unique twist. The flow of time shifts as the encounter progresses, which causes the timers on the boss' abilities to change, along with the attack and casting speeds and cooldown reduction of the raid group.
TL;DR
Tanks
- Taunt swap every 7-9 stacks of Chronometric Particles to avoid Chronometric Overload.
- Interact with the Temporal Rifts after killing a Waning Time Particle to gain a Temporal Charge, allowing you to interrupt Power Overwhelming with a Temporal Smash.
- Tank any Waning Time Particles that spawn.
Healers
- Heal up players afflicted with Time Release to reduce the damage to the raid.
- Have cooldowns ready for Power Overwhelming as it deals high damage that increases over time until interrupted by a tank's Temporal Smash.
DPS
- Interrupt the Waning Time Particle's casts of Warp Nightwell.
- Eliminate the Waning Time Particles as quickly as possible or the raid will die from Power Overwhelming.
- Get away from the group when Time Bomb expires.
Everyone
- Pay attention to the Passage of Time as it affects the timers on all of the debuffs, casts, and timers the boss performs. It also affects your attack and casting speeds and cooldown reduction.
- Avoid the Burst of Time casts to reduce damage taken.
- Avoid the Temporal Orbs to reduce damage taken.
Mythic Notes
- Two Waning Time Particles spawn instead of one.
- The order of the Passage of Time is different on Mythic.
Bloodlust/Heroism/Time Warp
Bloodlust usage on this fight is very flexible. It is recommended to use it when the Passage of Time is increased and a Waning Time Particle is alive.
