Summary of Abilities Granted to Death Knights by Each Covenant
- Kyrian
- Signature Ability — Summon Steward calls your steward to bring you a Phial of Serenity.
- Death Knight Ability — Shackle the Unworthy deals damage to the target and reduces the damage they deal to you.
- Night Fae
- Signature Ability — Soulshape transforms you into a Vulpin, instantly teleporting you forward, increasing your movement speed for a short time.
- Death Knight Ability — Death's Due (Replaces Death and Decay) corrupts the target ground, causing Shadow damage over time to targets within the area. While you remain in the area, some of your spells will hit more targets.
- Necrolord
- Signature Ability — Fleshcraft provides an absorption shield and increases damage taken.
- Death Knight Ability — Abomination Limb deals damage to nearby enemies and pulls them to you if they are further away from you.
- Venthyr
- Signature Ability — Door of Shadows teleports you to a targeted location.
- Death Knight Ability — Swarming Mist increases your dodge chance and deals Shadow damage over time to nearby enemies, granting you Runic Power.

Kyrian Death Knight Covenant Ability
Shackle the Unworthy: Admonish your target for their past transgressions, reducing the damage they deal to you by 8% and dealing (186.58% of Attack Power) Arcane damage over 14 seconds. While Shackle the Unworthy is active on an enemy, your direct-damage attacks that spend runes have a 100% chance to spread Shackle the Unworthy to a nearby enemy.
(Instant, 30-yard range, 60-second cooldown).
Night Fae Death Knight Covenant Ability
Death's Due (Replaces Death and Decay)
- Blood: Corrupts the targeted ground, causing (39.6% of Attack Power) Shadow damage over 10 seconds to targets within the area. While you remain within the area, your Heart Strike will hit up to 3 additional targets and inflict Death's Due for 12 seconds. Death's Due reduces damage enemies deal to you by 2%, up to a maximum of 8% and their power is transferred to you as an equal amount of Strength.
- Frost: Corrupts the targeted ground, causing (39.6% of Attack Power) Shadow damage over 10 seconds to targets within the area. While you remain within the area, your Obliterate will hit up to 1 additional target and inflict Death's Due for 12 seconds. Death's Due reduces damage enemies deal to you by 2%, up to a maximum of 8% and their power is transferred to you as an equal amount of Strength.
- Unholy: Corrupts the targeted ground, causing (39.6% of Attack Power) Shadow damage over 10 seconds to targets within the area. While you remain within the area, your Scourge Strike will hit up to 4 enemies near the target and inflict Death's Due for 12 seconds. Death's Due reduces damage enemies deal to you by 1%, up to a maximum of 8% and their power is transferred to you as an equal amount of Strength.
- Necrotic Strike: Corrupts the targeted ground, causing (39.6% of Attack Power) Shadow damage over 10 seconds to targets within the area. While you remain within the area, your Necrotic Strike and Heart Strike will hit up to 0 additional targets and inflict Death's Due for 12 seconds. Death's Due reduces damage enemies deal to you by 1%, up to a maximum of 8% and their power is transferred to you as an equal amount of Strength.
- Clawing Shadows: Corrupts the targeted ground, causing (39.6% of Attack Power) Shadow damage over 10 seconds to targets within the area. While you remain within the area, your Heart Strike will hit up to 0 additional targets and inflict Death's Due for 12 seconds. Death's Due reduces damage enemies deal to you by 1%, up to a maximum of 8% and their power is transferred to you as an equal amount of Strength.

Necrolord Death Knight Covenant Ability
Abomination Limb: Sprout an additional limb, dealing (369.2% of Attack Power) Shadow damage over 12 seconds to all nearby enemies. Every second, an enemy is pulled to your location if they are further than 8 yards from you. The same enemy can only be pulled once every 4 seconds.
- Blood: Gain 3 Bone Shield charges instantly, and again every 6 seconds.
- Frost: Rime, and again every 6 seconds.
- Unholy: Gaian Runic Corruption instantly, and again every 6 seconds.
(Instant, 20-yard range, 2-minute cooldown)
Venthyr Death Knight Covenant Ability
Swarming Mist: A heavy mist surrounds you for 8 seconds, increasing your Dodge by 10%. Deals (20% of Attack Power) Shadow damage every 1 second to enemies within 10 yards. Every time it deals damage you gain 3 Runic Power, up to a maximum of 15 Runic Power. Deals reduced damage beyond 5 targets.
