Talent Cheatsheet for Demonology Warlock
Champion of the Light
This fight is split 50/50 between multi-target and single target phases. Try to maintain Doom uptime as high as you can, without increasing stacks too much. Try to line up Nether Portal during boss phases, or otherwise talent Demonic Consumption.
Grong
This is a single target fight; try to use Demonic Circle and possibly Demonic Gateway to reduce the amount of movement required. Pool Demonic Core procs for when the adds spawn. Consider using Dark Pact to mitigate the damage from the missile. In Mythic there will be 2 adds, so if you are Horde try to save Demonic Strength or Bilescourge Bombers to cleave them both.
Jadefire Masters
This fight will have at least 2 targets up the whole time, and some adds that need to die as quickly as possible; try to save Demonic Core procs for those. Warlocks can soak Magma Traps by preplacing Demonic Circle and thus avoiding falling damage. Demonic Gateway is invaluable during the Maze phase. Sacrificed Souls or Demonic Consumption might be more practical than Nether Portal for this encounter.
In Mythic, remember the dance is a fixed sequence of colours: Blue, Green, Red, Green, Blue.
Opulence
The boss fight is split into 2 phases: the first phase is a gauntlet where raid has to spit into 2 groups, and then during the second phase, you will face the boss.
Plenty of movement is required during the Gauntlet, so try to minimize it as much as you can. You can use Burning Rush to activate the buff in the 4th room by dropping below 50% health, and remember to save cooldowns for final room.
You generally want to pick up the Opal jewel, unless specified otherwise by your raidleader.
Use Shadowfury on Spirits of Gold, and try to save a Bilescourge Bombers for them. Nether Portal can provide an incredible amount of burst damage on the boss during Bloodlust/ Heroism if timed correctly with the Topaz buff.
Level 100 talent choice is based on what you need: Sacrificed Souls for the biggest implosions on 2 out of 3 sets of adds in Phase Two; Demonic Consumption for an easier gauntlet and more damage in critical rooms; Nether Portal for a balanced approach: good damage during gauntlet, high damage on boss especially if you delay last portal before 3rd set of adds so you can also get a noticeable implosion off that sequence after Tyrant expired.
In Mythic, try to implode on current target if you are about to be swapped, to minimize the damage loss. Make use of Demonic Circle in Phase Two to place pools at the edges of the room quicker.
Conclave of the Chosen
Despite its appearance, this is mostly a single target fight. Unlike Affliction and Destruction, Demonology does not gain anything by DoTting the second boss, so focus mainly on the main target while dumping Demonic Core procs on the Raptor when available. Remember Raptors are susceptible to crowd control, so make use of Felguard stun and Shadowfury. Make use of Burning Rush to avoid orbs and to rush inside the Pa'ku safe zone during its AoE.
King Rastakhan
This is a cleave fight in Phase One and single target fight with multiple targets later on. Aim for maximum uptime on Doom on all 3 mini bosses and Rastakhan when he joins the fight. Avoid frogs and various abilities during Phase Two, and try to enter Phase Three in the Death Realm with all cooldowns available since Bloodlust/ Heroism will be used there. In Phase Four, pay attention to where you run. Make use of Demonic Circle in Phases 3 and 4 to minimize movements and avoid Inevitable End.
High Tinker Mekkatorque
This is a single target encounter with various movement requirements. Make the best use of Demonic Gateway, Demonic Circle, and Burning Rush to deal with both the Shrunk debuff and Gigavolt Charge. Try to enter Phase Three with cooldowns up for when your raid uses Bloodlust/ Heroism.
Stormwall Blockade
This is a single target fight with periodic add spawns. Phase One is pretty straightforward, so focus on dodging abilities and coordinate with the rest of the raid to bring down both bosses at the same time.
In Phase 2 try to save some Demonic Cores to burst adds down as quickly as possible. Use Demonic Gateway and Demonic Circle to minimize the movement when dropping debuffs at the back of the room.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore
This is a single target fight with periodic adds during Phase One. During the whole fight, pay attention to your total health and Chilling Touch stacks: remember that Burning Rush can be used to bypass the slow but if you dip below 80% of maximum health you become stunned inside an Ice Block that has to be destroyed by your teammates.
Save Demonic Core procs and time Bilescourge Bombers for each Marine wave, unless your Priests just mindcontrol them. In Phase Two, position Demonic Gateway in conjunction with Demonic Circle to help with the Siegebreaker Blast mechanic and to dodge the Glacial Ray.
In Mythic, you should run either Doom/ Demonic Strength or Bilescourge Bombers/ Demonic Calling. Personally, I have found that the Bilescourge Bombers setup works better, as it allows for easier cleave on secondary targets, while still maintaining similar boss damage on Jaina.
After recent nerfs, the Phase 2 ship intermission strategy became obsolete, so Soul Conduit is arguably a slightly better choice over Grimoire: Felguard, even for Phase 3 intermission boss damage, if you pool your resources correctly.
