Tips for Chrome King Gallywix for Devastation Evoker
Defensive Tips
- In phase 1 you will have to soak 4 casts of
Scatterblast Canisters you will want a defensive up each time you soak, starting with
Renewing Blaze for the 1st/4th cast and
Obsidian Scales for the 2nd and 3rd.
- In phase 2 you will want to save
Renewing Blaze for the 2nd cast of
Fused Canisters as you are forced to move almost immediately afterwards and will benefit heavily from the large self healing.
- In phase 3 there you will want to have either
Renewing Blaze or
Obsidian Scales available each time Gallywix does a
Fused Canisters into
Suppression combination.
Cooldown Usage
- Use
Dragonrage and
Deep Breath whenever they are available.
Mechanical Tips
Wing Buffet can be used to help stack the adds in the intermission phases.
Mythic Difficulty
- The Mythic variation of this encounter requires fairly solid defensive usage in phase 1, you will want to ensure you have a
Obsidian Scales or
Renewing Blaze each time you soak the
Tick-Tock Canisters the easiest way to do this is by alternating starting with Renewing Blaze and then Obsidian Scales, this will ensure coverage of every single soak
- In phase 2 your defensive usage will depend entirely on the job you are doing, if you are a bomb holder from phase 1 you will not be soaking any mechanics and should use all your defensives whenever something feels a little dangerous, this will not happen
frequently if ever as the nature of the phase is very relaxed, if you are not bomb holding you will want to use both
Obsidian Scales and
Renewing Blaze every time you are soaking
Scatterbomb Canisters.

Post Progression talent changes
For any and all bosses where you are playing Scalecommander, into the farm period you will want to change to the single target Flameshaper build as it will do substantially more single target.
General Offensive Cooldown Usage
Devastation Evoker has a few cooldowns to think about using optimally on the fights in Liberation of Undermine:
Dragonrage - Our main, 2-minute cooldown.
Make sure to use your cooldowns on cooldown as much as possible unless certain adds or DPS phases allow you to get more value out of them. This is typically something you will want to discuss with your Raidleader or the rest of the raid..
General Defensive Cooldown Usage
If you want to mitigate damage during some of the harder hitting moment of
any given encounter, Obsidian Scales is a very large DR but it must be used before the damage happens.
