D.R.I.V.E. System Guide – Unlock, Customize, and Master Your G-99 Breakneck
The D.R.I.V.E. system in The War Within introduces a new way to navigate through Undermine, bringing dynamic driving mechanics, customization options, and missions.
What is the D.R.I.V.E System?
D.R.I.V.E. System (Dynamic and Revolutionary Improvements to Vehicular Experiences) is a special feature first added in Patch 11.0 that includes:
- The
G-99 Breakneck kart — a quick new ground mount.
- Dynamic driving mechanics like turbo, drifting, and job tasks.
- Customization for your kart's color, engine, wheels, turbo, and horn.
How Do You Unlock Your G-99 Breakneck?
Progress through Chapter 2 of the Undermine Campaign. Begin the No More Walkin' Here quest at the Incontinental Hotel.
Follow up with License Not Required offered by Nanny Talullah, which teaches you how to drive, boost, and handle
shipping tasks. Completing these intro quests will award you the G-99 Breakneck mount.
Account-Wide Access
Once you finish the questline on your main, every alt on your account will automatically gain access to the
G-99 Breakneck in Undermine.
Does the G-99 Breakneck Work Exclusively in Undermine?
Yes, the G-99 Breakneck only works in Undermine. However, this is Blizzard's first dynamic ground mount, so chances
are it will work in other zones in the future, just like Skyriding.
G-99 Breakneck Driving Mechanics
When you hop in the G-99 Breakneck, you will see a new vehicle bar with the following action buttons:
Boost (Key 1): Gain a huge burst of speed for a short time. Consumes Turbo.
Honk the Horn! (Key 2): Honk your horn, making your feelings known to everyone around you.
Start Job (Key 5): Get a job from Nanny Talullah, or cancel the one you are currenly on.
Eject! (Key 6) Leve the G-99 Breakneck.
Turbo and Drifting
You start with 100 Turbo. Boost uses some Turbo and make you go extra fast for a short time.
Turbo does not regenerate automatically. You refill it by drifting (holding the Spacebar). Drifting helps you
take sharper turns.
Customizing Your G-99 Breakneck
To customize your mount, visit Mobber located at the below location.
You can talk to Mobber to see all the available customization you have unlocked and switch between them.
The following customization options are available for the G-99 Breakneck:
Paint
Change the kart's color.
Paint: Neutral: For folks that like to go with the flow. Put it in neutral.
Paint: Redlining Red: Red is, of course, the fastest color.
Paint: Goblin Green: There is nothing environmentally friendly about this paint.
Paint: Body Roll Blue: Warning: disabling electronic stability control while driving in body roll blue is not recommended.
Paint: Yellow Cake Yellow: A tasty color with no adverse side effects.
Engine
Balance your top speed and acceleration.
Engine: The Pozzik Standard: Provides average top speed and acceleration.
Engine: G77C Ultra: Decreases top speed, increases acceleration.
Engine: GNZ Airmaster 9000: Increases top speed. Decreases acceleration.

Wheels: 22H Slicks: Grip while drifting increased.
Wheels: GE86 Advance: Grip while drifting increased.
Turbo
Decide how powerful your boost is and how much Turbo it costs.
Turbo: Wildfuel Mk. 0: Average boost speed and efficiency.
Turbo: Handcrank: Boost speed increased, boost efficiency decreased.
Turbo: Steamboil: Boost speed increased, boost efficiency decreased.
Horn
Choose from a few horn options.
Basic Horn: Honk honk!
The Buzzer: Can be purchased for 975
Resonance Crystals upon reaching Honored with Blackwater Cartel.
The Whole Brass Band: Can be purchased for 975

The Ol' Low-and-Slow: Can be purchased for 975

Shipping and Handling Tasks
Press Start Job on your vehicle bar to grab small missions around Undermine.
An arrow will appear above your head, leading you to your destination. The missions have
various objectives like delivering packages or killing creatures.
Completing a task rewards you with Valorstones and
Resonance Crystals.
You will gain bonus
Valorstones and
Weathered Undermine Crests for
every 10 completed tasks.
If you would prefer to complete Shipping and Handling Tasks on any mount, you can ask Mobber for the
Caddy Caller item.
Surge Pricing World Event
Every hour, there is a 10-minute event where shipping and Handling tasks will fill a progress bar.
Hitting a certain threshold (10, 50, 250 tasks) rewards chests with Gold, Valorstones,
Resonance Crystals, and
Weathered Undermine Crests.
