Elemental Shaman DPS The Eternal Palace Raid Guide — Dragonflight 10.2.5
On this page, you will find tips, tricks, and strategies tailored to your Elemental Shaman for each boss of the following raid: The Eternal Palace. All our content is updated for World of Warcraft — Dragonflight 10.2.5.
Introduction
In this section, you will find information and guidance for each boss individually in the Eternal Palace raid as a Elemental Shaman. These are not complete encounter guides, but rather provide specific tips for any Elemental Shaman on each boss.
As a preliminary, I would point out that Wind Rush Totem is particularly handy on many of the fights in this raid. I will not describe all the possible uses but they should be obvious in practice. Notably, any time the raid has to reposition after forced movement/knockbacks/transitions.
Talent and Essence Cheatsheet
Abyssal Commander Sivara
We advise you to use the following essences against Abyssal Commander Sivara.
- No movement issues
- Major Slot
- Condensed Life-Force — Rank 3: Guardian of Azeroth + Condensed Life-Force
- Minor Slots
- The Crucible of Flame — Rank 3: Ancient Flame
- Worldvein Resonance — Rank 3: Lifeblood
- Major Slot
- If you are losing a lot of DPS due to movement
- Major Slot
- Conflict and Strife — Rank 3: Conflict + Strife
- Minor Slots
- The Crucible of Flame — Rank 3: Ancient Flame
- Worldvein Resonance — Rank 2: Lifeblood
- Major Slot
Tips
Because of the amount of possible movement in this fight, you have several possibilities. First, you can choose between Icefury and Primal Elementalist, the former helping you deal with regular movement. Alternatively, or additionally, you can consider using Conflict and Strife as a major essence, because you can channel Lightning Lasso while moving.
Remember to keep moving every now and then in order to keep stacks low when affected by Frozen Blood. Conversely, move as little as possible when affected by Venomous Blood.
For more information, please refer to our Abyssal Commander Sivara strategy guide.
Blackwater Behemoth
We advise you to use the following essences against Blackwater Behemoth.
- Major Slot
- Condensed Life-Force — Rank 3: Guardian of Azeroth + Condensed Life-Force
- Minor Slots
- The Crucible of Flame — Rank 3: Ancient Flame
- Worldvein Resonance — Rank 3: Lifeblood
Tips
Darkest Depths reduces all incoming healing from others by 100% but healing yourself still works in case of emergency.
You could potentially apply Flame Shock on Shimmerscale Pufferfishes for additional procs (funneling) as long as they will not die too early.
Try saving Astral Shift for Piercing Barb in Mythic difficulty.
For more information, please refer to our Blackwater Behemoth strategy guide.
Radiance of Azshara
We advise you to use the following essences against Radiance of Azshara.
- Major Slot
- Condensed Life-Force — Rank 3: Guardian of Azeroth + Condensed Life-Force
- Minor Slots
- The Crucible of Flame — Rank 3: Ancient Flame
- Worldvein Resonance — Rank 3: Lifeblood
Tips
Save Astral Shift for tanking Arcanado / Squall Trap.
For more information, please refer to our Radiance of Azshara strategy guide.
Lady Ashvane
We advise you to use the following essences against Lady Ashvane.
- Major Slot
- Condensed Life-Force — Rank 3: Guardian of Azeroth + Condensed Life-Force
- Minor Slots
- The Crucible of Flame — Rank 3: Ancient Flame
- Worldvein Resonance — Rank 3: Lifeblood
Tips
Worldvein Resonance is a particularly good minor essence to take here because there should not be much movement overall.
The main goal of the fight is getting as few phase transitions as you can. Adjust cooldown usage if delaying them would help getting one less phase.
For more information, please refer to our Lady Ashvane strategy guide.
Orgozoa
We advise you to use the following essences against Orgozoa.
- Major Slot
- Condensed Life-Force — Rank 3: Guardian of Azeroth + Condensed Life-Force
- Minor Slots
- The Crucible of Flame — Rank 3: Ancient Flame
- Worldvein Resonance — Rank 3: Lifeblood
Tips
Because this fight has potentially problematic adds, Essence of the Focusing Iris or Purification Protocol could be good choices.
Try interrupting Conductive Pulse with Wind Shear in Phase 2.
Because there are long-lasting adds in this fight, the "funneling" tactic could be used, keeping multiple Flame Shocks rolling to get more Lava Surge procs. Combined with multiple Lava Shock traits, this can be very strong.
For more information, please refer to our Orgozoa strategy guide.
The Queen's Court
We advise you to use the following essences against The Queen's Court.
- Major Slot
- Condensed Life-Force — Rank 3: Guardian of Azeroth + Condensed Life-Force
- Minor Slots
- The Crucible of Flame — Rank 3: Ancient Flame
- Worldvein Resonance — Rank 3: Lifeblood
Tips
Icefury and its Frost Shocks is particularly handy to deal with both movement and Repeat Performance. Wind Shear is also very helpful with the latter.
If you are still struggling with movement with Icefury, or are electing to use Primal Elementalist, you can use the major essence Conflict and Strife to gain Lightning Lasso which you can channel while moving.
For more information, please refer to our The Queen's Court strategy guide.
Za'qul, Harbinger of Ny'alotha
We advise you to use the following essences against Za'qul, Harbinger of Ny'alotha.
- Major Slot
- Condensed Life-Force — Rank 3: Guardian of Azeroth + Condensed Life-Force
- Minor Slots
- The Crucible of Flame — Rank 3: Ancient Flame
- Worldvein Resonance — Rank 3: Lifeblood
Tips
As an Elemental Shaman, you are unlikely to get assigned to the Delirium realm of fun. Sorry.
DO NOT try to use Tremor Totem to dispell Dread, you will make your healers very angry.
For more information, please refer to our Za'qul, Harbinger of Ny'alotha strategy guide.
Queen Azshara
We advise you to use the following essences against Queen Azshara.
Use Wind Shear to interrupt the Chain Lightning casts.
You most likely want to have all your cooldowns (offensive and defensive) available for P4.
Because there are long-lasting adds in this fight, the "funneling" tactic could be used, keeping multiple Flame Shocks rolling to get more Lava Surge procs. Combined with multiple Lava Shock traits, this can be very strong.
For more information, please refer to our Queen Azshara strategy guide.
