Feral Druid DPS Sanctum of Domination Raid Guide — Dragonflight 10.2.5
On this page, you will find tips, tricks, and strategies tailored to your Feral Druid for each boss of the following raid: Sanctum of Domination. All our content is updated for World of Warcraft — Dragonflight 10.2.5.
Introduction
On this page, you will find Feral Druid specific information to deal with each boss in the Sanctum of Domination raid.
This page assumes that you already understand most of the mechanics of each encounter. These can be found on the full raid guide, so what is contained here are details specifically tailored toward Feral Druid and what you can do to deal with each fight as best as possible.
During the Dragonflight Pre-Patch, Castle Nathria, Sanctum of Domination, and Sepulcher of the First Ones will be simultaneously featured as Fated Raids. During this time encounters within each specific raid will include an additional mechanic and items will drop at increased item levels. If you would like to learn more general information about the Fated Raids system as a whole, please see our overview below. Otherwise, continue to use this page for specialization-specific tips.
Feral remains largely the same as it was in Sanctum, with some additions with the 9.2 effects. The majority of encounters are likely to be dealt with in the same way in Season 4 however, with the same setup that Feral has consistently used throughout Shadowlands.
Talent Cheatsheet
Feral has a choice between two rather similiar builds, the choice is dependant on the number of targets. The AoE build is very similiar in single-target throughput to the Single-Target build, and we are therefore inclined to use it whenever there is even a small amount of AoE in an encounter.
AoE build:

Covenant: Night Fae.
Legendaries: Celestial Spirits with Circle of Life and Death.
Soulbind: Niya (Link).
The Tarragrue
We advise you to use the following Legendaries against The Tarragrue.
- Circle of Life and Death
- Unity
The Tarragrue encounter focuses heavily around the 4 Anima Powers you are offered in the surrounding trash. Some are better, some are worse, but you are not always offered everything and most of them are within margin. However, some notes:
- Powers to avoid: Lumbering Form and Ten of Towers both have a high chance of getting allies killed or causing wipes. Do not take these.
- Powers to look out for: Ever-Beating Heart effectively allows you to ignore many of the most obnoxious mechanics in melee, and while not a DPS power is a great comfort pick.
General tips for dealing with the encounter:
- Stampeding Roar is an option to help the raid move to safe spots during Hungering Mist.
- Save Dash for Hungering Mist so you can move quickly to safe spots yourself and keep uptime. Soulshape is also good for this.
- Balance Affinity is valuable throughout here because a lot of mechanics force you slightly out of range, especially below 10% when the boss is being kited.
For more information, please refer to our The Tarragrue guide.
The Eye of the Jailer
We advise you to use the following Legendaries against The Eye of the Jailer.
- Circle of Life and Death
- Unity
This fight is predominantly single-target with some add phases. We therefore lean towards the AoE build.
- Stampeding Roar is a useful option to deal with Annihilating Glare, or to help the soak group push back against Dragging Chains.
- Soulshape can be used to jump the Annihilating Glare beam, but the timing is precise and you mess it up you will die, so be careful.
- Cat Form move speed is more than enough to keep up and get to the grappling hooks on the side, but in an emergency use Dash.
- Have Barkskin and Survival Instincts ready for the final 33% burn.
- Remember that the boss leaves at 66% and 33% for the intermission, so try not to commit and waste cooldowns as this is about to happen.
For more information, please refer to our The Eye of the Jailer guide.
The Nine
We advise you to use the following Legendaries against The Nine.
- Circle of Life and Death
- Unity
There is a period spent with two targets that encourages cleave, therefore we lean towards the AoE build.
- On the pull with two targets up try to maintain Bleeds on both targets if possible.
- Use Dash on Agatha's Eternal Blade patterns to keep uptime and dodge safely, or get to the edge for a dispel if targeted by Fragments of Destiny on Mythic.
- Stampeding Roar is useful for dealing with both Reverberating Refrain and Wings of Rage casts.
- Barkskin is best saved for Arthura's Crushing Gaze if the raid is spread, especially during Call of the Val'kyr if it overlaps with Daschla's Mighty Impact.
For more information, please refer to our The Nine guide.
Remnant of Ner'zhul
We advise you to use the following Legendaries against Remnant of Ner'zhul.
- Circle of Life and Death
- Unity
Mostly single-target with some very brief moments with adds that need to be killed very quickly. Also has high movement with a small amount of downtime. Both builds are fine here.
- Aim to cast Convoke the Spirits only when no Orbs of Torment are active, as it can absorb spells and take no damage.
- Stampeding Roar is useful to help the raid dodge the Grasp of Malice beams.
- Similarly, Dash is useful to do this if you are caught out yourself.
- Wild Charge is very useful to get back to the boss safely after a knockback from Malevolence. Skull Bash also works if timed correctly.
For more information, please refer to our Remnant of Ner'zhul guide.
Soulrender Dormazain
We advise you to use the following Legendaries against Soulrender Dormazain.
- Circle of Life and Death
- Unity
This fight features brief periods of add burst, therefore we use the AoE build.
- Make sure to stack the Brand of Torment on the Mawsworn Agonizers here; the damage increase is worth the low extra group damage.
- Stampeding Roar and Dash are useful to help the raid and yourself during the Tormented dance patterns.
- During Warmonger Shackles use Barkskin or Survival Instincts to stay healthy; off-healing with Predatory Swiftness procs is also a good idea here if the raid is unstable.
- Balance Affinity helps out a lot here because adds can sometimes be a bit spread, and the boss is slightly out of range during the dance.
- If a Mawsworn Agonizer is placed in a poor place, you can use Typhoon to knock it into the stack.
For more information, please refer to our Soulrender Dormazain guide.
Painsmith Raznal
We advise you to use the following Legendaries against Painsmith Raznal.
- Circle of Life and Death
- Unity
There are adds that need to be bursted down, therefore we lean towards the AoE build.
- Balance Affinity is invaluable here to have more comfort hitting the Spiked Balls without risking death.
- Any damage dealt to balls after the first path is opened up does not matter, so do not waste your Energy.
- Similarly, avoid casting Convoke the Spirits when balls are up to avoid spells being wasted.
- Due to the intermission time it is useful to use Berserk to make use of the 4-piece bonus to burn the adds down quickly.
- Stampeding Roar is great for navigating the Spike Walls during the intermission, coordinate with your raid to use it at the right time.
- Soulshape is useful if you feel out of position from the spike walls, letting you blink over them to safety.
- Survival Instincts is best saved for detonations of the Flameclasp Traps, while Barkskin is great to smooth damage intake during the intermissions due to Lingering Flames.
For more information, please refer to our Painsmith Raznal guide.
Guardian of the First Ones
We advise you to use the following Legendaries against Guardian of the First Ones.
- Circle of Life and Death
- Unity
A pure single-target burn encounter with very little else to worry about.
- This is a pure single-target check so it suits Feral well.
- Save Barkskin and Survival Instincts for situations where your raid is taking Purging Protocol hits, either before entering an Energy Core or at the end of the fight when you run out of Cores.
- Dash and Stampeding Roar are best saved for getting out of Meltdown, or avoiding Disintegration which should be baited to the side of the boss.
- Position yourself to the side of the boss to bait Disintegration away from the ranged camp. Just stay clear of the tanks to avoid the Elimination Pattern frontal.
- On Mythic save Dash and Soulshape for any situation you are targeted by Threat Neutralization to position around the Energy Core. This is your priority number one.
For more information, please refer to our Guardian of the First Ones guide.
Fatescribe Roh-Kalo
We advise you to use the following Legendaries against Fatescribe Roh-Kalo.
- Circle of Life and Death
- Unity
Similar to other fights, there are adds that spawn here so we lean towards using our AoE tools.
- Balance Affinity is really useful here so you can keep uptime on the boss while avoiding orbs.
- Barkskin and Survival Instincts are best used if you are forced out of range of healers by Grim Portent on Mythic, or if you are handling the Loom in the intermission when targeted by Runic Affinity.
- Soulshape should be used to get to your Grim Portent circle quickly as well; if you are late the raid is dead.
- Both Dash and Stampeding Roar are really useful for dealing with Fated Conjunction beams to get to safe spots.
For more information, please refer to our Fatescribe Roh-Kalo guide.
Kel'Thuzad
We advise you to use the following Legendaries against Kel'Thuzad.
- Circle of Life and Death
- Unity
This fight feature heavy AoE moments, so we use AoE build.
- Barkskin and Survival Instincts are best served for surviving the Frozen Destruction detonations from Glacial Spikes.
- Try to make use of the 4-piece bonus to get extra value from your Berserk casts in AoE, especially during the intermission.
- You can pre-cast Dash when dropping the Oblivion's Echo pools to get out faster before the silence applies.
- Maim, Mighty Bash, and Skull Bash can all be used to interrupt the Piercing Wail casts from the tank adds spawned.
- Mass Entanglement can also be useful here to keep the Frostbound Devoted stacked up before AoE begins.
- Similarly, if any get out of position Typhoon is useful to knock them back into place.
For more information, please refer to our Kel'Thuzad guide.
Sylvanas Windrunner
We advise you to use the following Legendaries against Sylvanas Windrunner.
- Circle of Life and Death
- Unity
Much like the running theme of Sanctum, there is some AoE that happens here and thus we are inclined to use our excellent AoE tools.
- Stampeding Roar is excellent for Phase 2 when moving between platforms, and provides help for the group in Phase 1 when moving from arrows and veils.
- Convoke the Spirits is extremely strong here, just be aware there are a number of mechanics that cause Sylvanas to be untargetable or silence you so avoid casting it as these are coming up.
- In Phase 1, Barkskin should be saved if you have high stacks of Barbed Arrow and cannot clear soon with Domination Chains.
- In Phase 3, Barkskin and Survival Instincts should always be saved for dealing with Wailing Arrow or Banshee's Fury, as these are the pressure points.
- Dash can be used freely in Phase 1, but should be used to spread for Banshee Scream in Phase 2, and moving off platform away from Raze in Phase 3.
- In a similar way, Soulshape can be used as the boss goes immune and Banshee Scream in Phase 2 begins to create more room for the other melee.
- During Phase 2, if you are on a platform with Mawsworn Summoners, you should use Remove Corruption to remove the Curse of Lethargy on any friendly players on cooldown.
- You can also take Restoration Affinity for Phase 2 and use Heart of the Wild to help stabilise the group, as raid damage can get quite high here.
For more information, please refer to our Sylvanas Windrunner guide.
