Feral Druid PvP Stat Priority, Gear, and Trinkets — The War Within (11.0.7)
Choosing your gear carefully is important for your Feral Druid in PvP. We give you a stat priority to help you choose items with the right stats, followed by advice on how to choose the rest of your gear and your trinkets.
This page is part of our Feral Druid PvP Guide.
Stat Priority for Feral Druids in PvP
The stat priority for Feral Druid in PvP is as follows:
- Agility;
- Versatility;
- Mastery;
- Haste;
- Critical Strike.
Agility is the best stat in all situations. Versatility is the strongest secondary stat at all times because Feral Druids have a lot of healing abilities. This also increases your overall survivability. Mastery is the next strongest stat at all times because it increases the damage to all your bleeds and finishing moves from Mastery: Razor Claws.
Gear Recommendations
General Guidelines
In general, Feral Druids want to get trinkets that line up well with Incarnation: King of the Jungle. Because this ability has a 3-minute cooldown, your trinkets can have a passive or on-use effect. The stat you want to be increasing is Agility. You want to increase Agility because it drastically increases your overall damage output.
Here is the best gear we recommend you use as a Feral Druid.
- Head: Algari Competitor's Leather Mask - Crafted with Versatility & Mastery
- Neck: Algari Competitor's Amulet - Crafted with Versatility & Mastery
- Shoulders: Maw of the Greatlynx
- Cloak: Forged Warmonger's Cape
- Chest: Hide of the Greatlynx
- Wrists: Forged Warmonger's Wraps
- Hands: Eviscerators of the Greatlynx
- Waist: Forged Warmonger's Belt
- Legs: Leggings of the Greatlynx
- Feet: Algari Competitor's Leather Boots - Crafted with Versatility & Mastery
- Ring 1: Forged Gladiator's Signet
- Ring 2: Algari Competitor's Signet - Crafted with Versatility & Mastery
- Trinket 1: Forged Gladiator's Medallion
- Trinket 2: Forged Gladiator's Insignia of Alacrity
- 2H Staff: Forged Gladiator's Battlestaff
Note: It is essential to be wearing 2 PvP trinkets. This will give you a Stamina and stat boost that will increase your survivability.
Best Cyrce's Circlet Gems for Feral Druid
Cyrce's Circlet is a new ring introduced in Patch 11.0.7 that you can acquire by completing several activities on Siren Isle. The ring has 3 sockets, which can fit a different kind of gem each. There are four different gems available for each of the three sockets, for a total of 12 gems, so there is quite a bit of choice on what to socket.
Cyrce's Circle ring does not have any secondary stats and in PvP, Cyrce's Circlet Gems are heavily nerfed. It is not recommended to use it.
For more information on how to get the ring, as well as acquiring all of the different gems that you can possibly socket into it, check out our Cyrce's Circlet guide below!
Feral Druid Tier Set
As noted above, acquiring both your 2-set and 4-set bonus is crucial. It is also important to note that ALL tier sets are nerfed by 50% in PvP. Although this nerf is significant, tier sets are still important to acquire to maximize your chances of winning. For Feral Druids, this is your tier set:
- 2-set: Tiger's Fury increases your chance to Critically Strike for 10 sec, starting at 6% and increasing by 1% every 2 sec.
- 4-set: Critical Strikes with your combo point-generating abilities increase the direct damage of your next Ferocious Bite and Rampant Ferocity or Primal Wrath by 15%, stacking up to 3 times.
4-set is not required for Feral Druids, but getting 2-set is recommended.
Feral Druid Embelishments
Embelishments are bonuses that can be put on crafted gear. These effects can have a drastic impact on the game. You are only allowed to have 2 Embellishments equipped at the same time. Here are the recommended Embellishments for Feral Druids:
- Elemental Focusing Lens causes your damaging spells and abilities to have a higher chance to deal damage to your target. The magic school chosen is based upon your selection of socketed Khaz'Algar gems.
- Ascendance/ Writhing Armor Banding. While in combat, Ascendance grants 89 of a random secondary stat, stacking up to 10 times. Writhing Armor Banding doubles this affect. This combination of Embellishments is the best for Feral Druid. Ascendance can only be crafted on a weapon.
- Duskthread Lining. This Embellishment significantly increases your Versatility when you are above 80% health. This can be used if you do not want to double the affect of Ascendance with Writhing Armor Banding.
Gems and Enchants
Here are the best enchants and gems for a Feral Druid:
- Cloak: Enchant Cloak - Chant of Burrowing Rapidity
- Chest: Enchant Chest - Stormrider's Agility
- Bracers: Enchant Bracer - Chant of Armored Speed
- Legs: Stormbound Armor Kit
- Boots: Enchant Boots - Scout's March
- Rings: Enchant Ring - Glimmering Mastery
- 2H Weapon: Enchant Weapon - Authority of Radiant Power
Versatile Onyx is the best gem you can use. You also get access to 1 Meta Gem. You should use Cognitive Bloodstone for the meta slot.
