Introduction
The following guide explains what you should focus on shortly after you reach the max level to be ready for raiding in the shortest time possible.
Daily and Weekly To-Do List for Dragonflight Season 3
We have a separate guide dedicated to daily and weekly goals in the game that we update on a weekly basis. Chances are you will find the most important information there.
What Should I Do After Hitting Level 70?
You should focus on 3 things when reaching maximum level. First, make sure to complete the Dragonflight campaign, collect all Dragonriding Glyphs to unlock Dragonriding Talents, and then focus on gearing up your character.
Complete the Dragonflight Campaign
If you have reached Level 70 but have not completed the Dragonflight campaign yet, make sure to finish it because it grants access to essential parts of the game. Namely, World Quests, Renown, and Adventure Mode for alts.
How to Unlock Adventure Mode in Dragonflight
If you completed the campaign on your main character, alts can go directly to Valdrakken and pick up the Jump-Start? Jump-Starting! quest immediately, without being at Level 70.
Adventure Mode allows alts to level up through World Quests and other events without having to touch the main campaign.
Check out our leveling guide to learn more about Adventure Mode in Dragonflight.
Collect Dragonriding Glyphs
If you still need to collect all Dragonriding glyphs, we advise you to do so immediately. With all Dragonriding talents unlocked, traversing through the vast landscapes becomes much easier.
How to Gear Up Efficiently in Dragonflight Season 3
The following subsections are dedicated to gearing up your character for Amirdrassil and Mythic+ Dungeons.
Gear can be upgraded with crests and Flightstones. You will learn more by visiting our gear upgrading guide.
Weekly Bonus Events
When you reach Level 70, make sure to check the in-game calendar by typing /calendar in the chat window first. Here, you will see a list of ongoing bonus events. Chances are there will be a Timewalking week or an interesting weekly quest that rewards gear.
Weekly quests can be picked up directly from within the Adventure Journal, press Shift+J in-game to open it. For instance, completing 5 Timewalking Dungeons for the weekly quest grants 1 piece of item level 454+ gear.
Emerald Dream World Boss
Search for the epic world quest in Emerald Dream to kill the world boss who has a chance to yield loot.
Weekly Quests
Aiding the Accord is picked up in central Valdrakken. Always select an activity tied to the Emerald Dream, like a Superbloom of Emerald Bounty. Completing the quest almost always rewards 1 piece of gear.
There is another weekly quest tied to the Superbloom completion in the Emerald Dream and one that requires you to farm some reputation with the Dream Wardens (A Worthy Ally: Dream Wardens). Both should be completed on a weekly basis because they have a chance to grant you gear.
Outdoor Activities
Dreamsurgess, Time Riftss or Fyrakk Assaultss all grant gear. All outdoor events in Dragonflight have had their item level of rewards increased in Dragonflight Season 3.
Dungeons
If you have completed all the weekly quests, make sure to spam dungeons. Not only are they a great source of gear, but you will also unlock slots in the Great Vault the next week.
- Normal Difficulty dungeons drop item level 411 gear.
- Heroic Difficulty dungeons drop item level 424 gear.
- Timewalking Dungeons drop item level 428 gear.
- Mythic Difficulty dungeons drop item level 437 gear.
- Mythic+ Dungeons: See Great Vault for end-of-run and weekly chest rewards.
You will learn more about dungeons in our dedicated hub.
Run Amirdrassil on Raid Finder Difficulty
Run Amirdrassil on Raid Finder Difficulty every week to unlock slots in the Great Vault and get gear.
Check out our Amirdrassil raid guide to learn more.
Complete Your Tier Set Bonuses
Every week, you will receive 1 Catalyst charge and when you bring a Season 3 eligible item to Antuka, you can convert it to an Amirdrassil set piece. You will need 4 to complete your set bonus. Check out our Revival Catalyst guide for more details.
Clear Dragonflight Dungeons for Gear
The item level of gear went up by 26 item levels in Dragonflight Season 2.
- Normal Difficulty Dungeons: Item Level 372;
- Heroic Difficulty and Timewalking Dungeons: Item Level 385;
- Mythic Difficulty Dungeons: Item Level 398;
- Mythic+ Dungeons: See Great Vault for end-of-run and weekly chest item levels.
