Frost Mage DPS Ny'alotha Raid Guide — Dragonflight 10.2.5
On this page, you will find tips, tricks, and strategies tailored to your Frost Mage for each boss of the following raid: Ny'alotha. All our content is updated for World of Warcraft — Dragonflight 10.2.5.
Introduction
In this section, you will find information and guidance for each boss individually in Ny'alotha as a Frost Mage. These are not complete encounter guides, but rather provide specific tips for any Frost Mage on each boss.
As Frost does not change talents or gameplay in any scenario outside of a
partner for Focus Magic, the vast majority of this will revolve
around ways Mages can avoid mechanics.

Tips
If you are fixated by an Aqir Drone, try and bring it into melee, so that they may be cleaved down. That said, your slows and roots are very useful in keeping them off of other raid members. Be careful to not root something as a knockback or grip happen; communication with your raid is key if you have access to those abilities.
On Mythic difficulty, it can be very helpful to save Blink or a
charge of
Shimmer to get away from
Entropic Echo if you are
tightly stacked, or in an otherwise bad position.
For more information, please refer to our The Hivemind guide.
Shad'har the Insatiable

Tips
Ice Block can let you soak
Entropic Buildup without taking
damage, though you will still gain the stacking debuff, so do not instantly
jump into another pool.
Blink to escape the Living Miasma and drag it further from the
raid is optimal.
There is nothing Frost-specific on Mythic difficulty.
For more information, please refer to our Shad'har the Insatiable guide.

Tips
Make sure to place Encroaching Shadows away from the raid.
Blink is useful in getting it as far as possible. Prefer to take it
to the sides of the room, rather than the entrance, as the boss strafes
across the room left-to-right. The space at the entrance is precious, and you
should keep it as clear as possible.
Counterspell any casters you see that are not in the pile so that
they may be hit by AoE easier.
You cannot Ice Block
Void Corruption stacks.
There is nothing Frost-specific on Mythic difficulty.

Lifeblood
- Essence of the Focusing Iris — Rank 3:
Tips
If your raid is focusing on controlling the adds, your slows and roots are valuable in dealing with the Blood of Ny'alotha. Be aware that you cannot hold them forever, and after a short time they will grow in size while also becoming immune to crowd control.
Otherwise, Bloods of Ny'alotha should be allowed to get near the boss's hitbox so that cleave can take them out quickly.
Blink can be used to run
Corruptor's Gaze ground effects
over itself if you angle it correctly.
There is nothing Frost-specific on Mythic difficulty.
For more information, please refer to our Il'gynoth, Corruption Reborn guide.

Tips
Blink is invaluable in avoiding
Madness Bomb and
Insanity Bomb's AoE raid damage, both if you are the target and need
out, or if a raid member has mistakenly stepped near you with it.
Splitting Ice will allow you to hit two Horrific Hemmorages at
once. Aim for two close to each other.
Likewise, you can usually hit two different Synthesis Growths in Phase 2, especially in the final area.
For more information, please refer to our Carapace of N'Zoth guide.

front of you, rather than turning around to hit the Thought Harvester.
Splitting Ice cleave is crucial in this fight.
