Druid of the Claw is our strongest Hero Talent for single-target DPS by a massive margin while being very competitive on AoE. This makes it our ideal raiding Hero Talent choice.

Elune's Chosen primary strength is a very strong CD you are able to use frequently in Lunar Beam and massive AoE, which it can do slightly better than Druid of the Claw if there are many targets.

Both of our Hero Talent Trees are fantastic and viable in M+. Druid of the Claw excels on smaller pulls in Mythic+, 3-5 targets. It also can deal incredibly high single-target damage to bosses if the boss encounters are a significant factor in certain keys.

Elune's Chosen has the power of Lunar Beam on an extremely short cooldown in Mythic+. This ability is often up at the start of a pull, which helps generate aggro quickly and keeps you relatively safe while you start to ramp.

Best Elune's Chosen Build for Guardian Druid

Elune's Chosen is very straightforward to build, with the same setup being optimal for all scenarios.

Druid of the Claw significantly changes our rotation. In addition to our regular rotation of maintaining Moonfire and Thrash on the target. We also want to focus on using Mangle as frequently as possible to generate stacks of Feline Potential from the Wildpower Surge talent. When we reach 6 stacks, we can cast Rake whilst in Bear Form due to the Fluid Form talent. This automatically shifts us into Cat Form and will grant us max combo points, allowing us to instantly cast a massively empowered Rip on the target. We can then use Mangle whilst in Cat Form, which will shift us back to Bear. Saving GCD's with Fluid Form is very important over the course of the encounter.

Elune's Chosen is an extremely simple Hero Talent Tree and does not change our rotation at all. We are, however, able to utilize Lunar Beam which is an additional cooldown that should be used as frequently as possible for its large mastery boost. This is both a powerful offensive and defensive cooldown.
