1.

Introduction

Below, you can find class and spec-specific advice for every fight in Liberation of Undermine. If you are looking for a general overview of the Raid that is not spec-specific, check out our dedicated Liberation of Undermine Boss guides.

This page covers tips and tricks specifically tailored toward Guardian Druids. Recommended talents and utility available in the toolkit to get the absolute most out of your Bear. It does not include general tips for mechanics, which are included in the full raid guide instead, whereas this page assumes that you are already familiar with most of the major mechanics of each encounter.

All recommendations are progression-based tips and will not necessarily be the best for an overall Tank ranking.

Defensive Tips

  • The tank swap mechanic on this fight is in 2 parts. The first part is applied via auto-attacks called Gravi-Gunk Icon Gravi-Gunk, which slows you and increases your damage taken. Defensive Tips

  • Stormfury Finger Gun Icon Stormfury Finger Gun is one of the taunt swap tank mechanics. It is a frontal cone that deals high nature damage over 4 seconds and must be faced away from the group. Great option to use defensive cooldowns on.
  • The other tank mechanic is Molten Gold Knuckles Icon Molten Gold Knuckles which deals high physical damage and some fire damage. This ability also knocks you back and applies Golden Drip Icon Golden Drip which causes you to leave a travel of gold behind. You must run around to drop the pools on the ground to drop your stacks but also conserve space in the room.
2.32.

Cooldown Usage

  • Use damage cooldowns on CD.
2.33.

Mechanical Tips

  • You can use Stampeding Roar Icon Stampeding Roar to help your group soak fire zones or run away from crawler mines. There is a lot of movement in this fight so Stampeding Roar Icon Stampeding Roar has value almost always.

General Defensive Usage Notes

Guardian Druid has several defensive spells that you should plan to use and rotate throughout mechanics. You should opt to use the smaller cooldown spells often as needed with incoming hits and save bigger cooldowns like Survival Instincts Icon Survival Instincts for large incoming damage.

  • Barkskin Icon Barkskin
  • Rage of the Sleeper Icon Rage of the Sleeper
  • Survival Instincts Icon Survival Instincts
  • Incarnation: Guardian of Ursoc Icon Incarnation: Guardian of Ursoc
  • Maul Icon Maul with a proc of Tooth and Claw Icon Tooth and Claw active.
2.42.

General Offensive Cooldown Usage

Guardian Druid has a few cooldowns to think about using optimally on the fights in Liberation of Undermine:

  • Incarnation: Guardian of Ursoc Icon Incarnation: Guardian of Ursoc — Our main, 2-3 minute cooldown.
  • Rage of the Sleeper Icon Rage of the Sleeper — Both an offensive and defensive cooldown, and can be used for either situationally.
  • Heart of the Wild Icon Heart of the Wild — A 5-minute cooldown that increases the damage done by our; auto-attack, Moonfire Icon Moonfire and feral abilities such as Rip Icon Rip and Rake Icon Rake.
  • Stampeding Roar Icon Stampeding Roar — 1-2 minute cooldown that greatly increases the movement speed of your entire raid. While this is not an offensive or defensive cooldown, this is a massive raid utility that should ideally be assigned to specific points in the encounter to ease dealing with mechanics.

In addition to the general rotation, you want to keep in mind that your goal is to use your cooldowns as often as possible during an encounter. With that in mind, your secondary goal is to use them at the correct time.

I highly suggest using some Addon or WeakAura to track the estimated time to die of your target/boss target. Method Raid Tools has this as an option if you are already using this addon. By tracking time to die, if you know that you can only fit one more cycle of your cooldowns in before the boss dies, you can choose to hold these cooldowns to better line up with Bloodlust Icon Bloodlust, your Potion, or even your other cooldowns, trying to look for opportunities to stack all of them.
