Talent and Essence Cheatsheet
Abyssal Commander Sivara
We advise you to use the following essences against Abyssal Commander Sivara.
- Major Slot
- The Crucible of Flame — Rank 3: Concentrated Flame + Ancient Flame
- Minor Slots
- Nullification Dynamo — Rank 3: Null Barrier
- Memory of Lucid Dreams — Rank 3: Lucid Dreams
Tips
Tanks should taunt swap when the active tank reaches roughly 5 stacks of either Rimefrost or Septic Taint, depending on whether you have Frost Mark or Toxic Brand, respectively. Once your debuff is ready to expire, run to the outer edges of the room to drop the pool that spawns. You may want to use a movement speed cooldown, such as Dash or Tiger Dash, if you are affected by Rimefrost.
For Crushing Reverberation, you can either stack with your debuff group, or opt to solo soak it with several stacks of Ironfur or a defensive cooldown, if you feel comfortable doing so.
For more information, please refer to our Abyssal Commander Sivara strategy guide.
Blackwater Behemoth
We advise you to use the following essences against Blackwater Behemoth.
- Major Slot
- The Crucible of Flame — Rank 3: Concentrated Flame + Ancient Flame
- Minor Slots
- Nullification Dynamo — Rank 3: Null Barrier
- Memory of Lucid Dreams — Rank 3: Lucid Dreams
Tips
Tanks should swap when the off-tank's Radiant Biomass has expired, to gain the debuff and restore their healing taken. Be sure to stay in melee range of the boss at all times, except during Shock Pulse.
You can use Wild Charge in Aquatic Form for an underwater sprint, which can be useful during the intermission to get to the boss more quickly, or during Shock Pulse to move away from the boss.
For more information, please refer to our Blackwater Behemoth strategy guide.
Radiance of Azshara
We advise you to use the following essences against Radiance of Azshara.
- Major Slot
- The Crucible of Flame — Rank 3: Concentrated Flame + Ancient Flame
- Minor Slots
- Nullification Dynamo — Rank 3: Null Barrier
- Memory of Lucid Dreams — Rank 3: Lucid Dreams
Tips
Tanks should swap after each Tide Fist cast.
During Ancient Tempest, use Stampeding Roar to boost the raid's movement speed and get to the Stormwraith more quickly. If there are any Squall Traps blocking your path, you should move into the edge of them slowly and then move away once triggered.
Use Typhoon and Ursol's Vortex to help interrupt the Stormling adds as they cast.
For more information, please refer to our Radiance of Azshara strategy guide.
Lady Ashvane
We advise you to use the following essences against Lady Ashvane.
- Major Slot
- The Crucible of Flame — Rank 3: Concentrated Flame + Ancient Flame
- Minor Slots
- Nullification Dynamo — Rank 3: Null Barrier
- Memory of Lucid Dreams — Rank 3: Lucid Dreams
Tips
Tanks should swap after every 3rd Barnacle Bash cast, or when the current tank is targeted by Briny Bubble. After each Barnacle Bash cast, a patch of Cutting Coral will be left underneath the tank, which the boss should be moved away from. You can preemptively move back into the patch of Cutting Coral to save space for your raid.
Positioning on this fight is important, as you want to maximise the distance between the boss and any Coral Growths, for the raid to be able to soak the Rippling Wave bubbles.
For more information, please refer to our Lady Ashvane strategy guide.
Orgozoa
We advise you to use the following essences against Orgozoa.
- Major Slot
- Anima of Life and Death — Rank 3: Anima of Death + Anima of Life
- Minor Slots
- Nullification Dynamo — Rank 3: Null Barrier
- Conflict and Strife — Rank 3: Strife
Tips
The damage curve for this encounter is front-loaded, as the boss' initial damage begins very high, and the debuff that they apply reduces your damage taken. As a result, having Rage pooled for at least 2 Ironfurs when you taunt (or having a defensive cooldown available) is very important.
Tanks should swap whenever a new set of adds spawn. The off-tank will use the debuff to tank the new adds away from the boss, and then soak the puddles that drop when the adds die. If your debuff has expired for whatever reason, you can use a defensive cooldown to soak them. In Phase 2, the Dreadcoil Hulk's Powerful Stomp can be solo soaked if you have debuff stacks, or split with the raid if not.
You can use Stampeding Roar during the intermission to boost the raid's movement speed down the ramp or even jump straight across, careful of jellyfish, they are lethal.
For more information, please refer to our Orgozoa strategy guide.
The Queen's Court
We advise you to use the following essences against The Queen's Court.
- Major Slot
- The Crucible of Flame — Rank 3: Concentrated Flame + Ancient Flame
- Minor Slots
- Nullification Dynamo — Rank 3: Null Barrier
- Memory of Lucid Dreams — Rank 3: Lucid Dreams
Tips
Tanks should swap bosses when the Silivaz tank's stacks of Pashmar's Touch have fallen off. The bosses should be tanked at least 21 yards apart.
Use Wild Charge to move to the opposite boss during a swap and to prevent the bosses from coming into range of one another.
For more information, please refer to our The Queen's Court strategy guide.
Za'qul, Harbinger of Ny'alotha
We advise you to use the following essences against Za'qul, Harbinger of Ny'alotha.
- Major Slot
- The Crucible of Flame — Rank 3: Concentrated Flame + Ancient Flame
- Minor Slots
- Nullification Dynamo — Rank 3: Null Barrier
- Memory of Lucid Dreams — Rank 3: Lucid Dreams
Tips
There is no tank swap on Zaqul. The tank with the higher Physical damage mitigation capacity should tank the boss, to reduce the damage distributed through the Mind Tether.
You may also opt to one-tank this encounter. One-tanking does not affect how you approach the encounter from a tanking perspective, just be aware that your tether partner is significantly less equipped to take a spike in damage should your mitigation fall off.
For more information, please refer to our Za'qul, Harbinger of Ny'alotha strategy guide.
Queen Azshara
We advise you to use the following essences against Queen Azshara.
- Major Slot
- The Crucible of Flame — Rank 3: Concentrated Flame + Ancient Flame
- Minor Slots
- Nullification Dynamo — Rank 3: Null Barrier
- Memory of Lucid Dreams — Rank 3: Lucid Dreams
Tips
In Phase 1, tank the minibosses together during Longing to maximise cleave, and on opposite sides of a pillar during Painful Memories.
You can use off-heals during the first intermission to help keep the raid topped off and preserve healer mana.
In Phase 2, position Queen Azshara so that the raid can break line of sight easily during Arcane Detonation. Tanks should swap at 7-9 stacks of Arcane Vulnerability. You can use Typhoon to keep the adds from reaching their wards.
In Phase 3, position the Loyal Myrmidon add so that the target of Charged Spear can use a Tidemistress add to block the hit.
In Phase 4, tanks should swap when the off-tank's Void Touched debuff has expired.
For more information, please refer to our Queen Azshara strategy guide.
