Havoc Demon Hunter PvP Best Arena Compositions — The War Within (11.1.0)
Team composition in 2v2 or 3v3 Arena is very important, because not all classes work well together. Here, we give you the best compositions you can have for your Havoc Demon Hunter (i.e., the best classes to pair with it).
This page is part of our Havoc Demon Hunter PvP Guide.
2v2 Arena
In 2v2 Arena, your primary strategy is to do damage. Demon Hunters have some of the strongest burst and sustained damage that will quickly make healers fall behind on healing. A well-timed stun when someone is low will likely result in a defensive cooldown or trinket being used by the enemy team.
Here is a list of the best team compositions for 2v2:
- Havoc Demon Hunter + Restoration Druid
- Havoc Demon Hunter + Preservation Evoker
- Havoc Demon Hunter + Discipline Priest
- Havoc Demon Hunter + Mistweaver Monk
3v3 Arena
Your role in 3v3 is similar to 2v2 Arena: deal relentless damage on the
kill target and use your stuns to stop incoming casts. When your team has
damage, you will want to use Chaos Nova and use your burst rotation.
If they are in range, use
Imprison on the enemy healer.
Use
Throw Glaive to slow enemies and run away from important
damage cooldowns.
Here is a list of the best team compositions for 3v3:
- Havoc Demon Hunter + Balance Druid + Healer
- Havoc Demon Hunter + Windwalker Monk + Healer
- Havoc Demon Hunter + Warrior + Healer
- Hero Cleave (Havoc Demon Hunter + Death Knight + Healer)
- Havoc Demon Hunter + Warlock + Healer
- Havoc Demon Hunter + Shadow Priest + Healer
Havoc's Role in Every Composition
Regardless of the composition you're playing, your role will stay largely the same.
Make sure to chain your instant crowd control abilities, such as Imprison and
Sigil of Misery, during your offensive cooldowns. If you're paired with a class
that has crowd control that shares DR with
Sigil of Misery, use it
strategically to peel or save it for key moments when it can secure the win.
