Talent and Essence Cheatsheet
Wrathion, the Black Emperor
We advise you to use the following essences against Wrathion, the Black Emperor.
- Major Slot
- Vision of Perfection — Rank 3: Vision of Perfection + Strive for Perfection
- Minor Slots
- Conflict and Strife — Rank 3: Strife
- The Well of Existence — Rank 3: The Well of Existence
- Unwavering Ward — Rank 3: Unwavering Ward
Tips
Avoid standing in front of or behind the boss as he has both a dangerous breath and a tail attack.
Once Incineration debuffs go out on the group, expect big raid damage after 8 seconds and set up accordingly. This occurs every 50-55 seconds. Gale Blast also causes high raid damage when cast. Look out for the overlap of both mechanics around 2:30 into the fight, which is the preferential time to use Aura Mastery.
Mythic
You are able to reset and be immune to the stacking Creeping Madness stacks with Blessing of Freedom, which can also be used on other raid members should they reach high stacks.
For more information, please refer to our Wrathion, the Black Emperor guide.
Maut
We advise you to use the following essences against Maut.
Tips
Make sure to have your cooldowns for Phase 2, where raid damage will be spiking extremely hard, due to the damage reflection effect on the boss. Pay attention to players targeted by Drain Essence and dispel them only when they run out of the group. Your mana in this phase regenerates, so be sure to use it.
For more information, please refer to our Maut guide.
The Prophet Skitra
We advise you to use the following essences against The Prophet Skitra.
Tips
Hammer of Justice and Blinding Light work on the illusions spawned by the boss.
Save your cooldowns for intermissions, which occur every 20% of Skitra's Health, especially for the end of them where damage on the raid ramps up dramatically.
For more information, please refer to our The Prophet Skitra guide.
Dark Inquisitor Xanesh
We advise you to use the following essences against Dark Inquisitor Xanesh.
- Major Slot
- Vision of Perfection — Rank 3: Vision of Perfection + Strive for Perfection
- Minor Slots
- Conflict and Strife — Rank 3: Strife
- The Formless Void — Rank 3: Symbiotic Presence
- Unwavering Ward — Rank 3: Unwavering Ward
Tips
Be ready to play your part in Void Ritual "football" match, as healers are the favored players to do it, due to caring less for the Voidwoken 99% damage reduction debuff inflicted upon participants.
Make sure to save Divine Steed for the torments.
For more information, please refer to our Dark Inquisitor Xanesh guide.
The Hivemind
We advise you to use the following essences against The Hivemind.
Tips
Echoing Void will need to be cooldowned through, especially if players do not spread properly.
For more information, please refer to our The Hivemind guide.
Shad'har the Insatiable
We advise you to use the following essences against Shad'har the Insatiable.
- Major Slot
- Vision of Perfection — Rank 3: Vision of Perfection + Strive for Perfection
- Minor Slots
- Conflict and Strife — Rank 3: Strife
- The Well of Existence — Rank 3: The Well of Existence
- The Formless Void — Rank 3: Symbiotic Presence
Tips
Be ready to spot heal anyone who gets hit with Debilitating Spit, as they will be taking heavy damage over time.
Mythic
The slow on the fixate debuff can be removed by using Blessing of Freedom. One Paladin can cover every other fixate.
For more information, please refer to our Shad'har the Insatiable guide.
Drest'agath
We advise you to use the following essences against Drest'agath.
Tips
Throes of Agony and Crushing Slam will inflict massive raid damage when cast, making it a perfect time to use healing cooldowns and big heals.
For more information, please refer to our Drest'agath guide.
Vexiona
We advise you to use the following essences against Vexiona.
Tips
Make sure the tank is at full health before Despair expires, as you will almost certainly need to use a healing cooldown otherwise. Use Aura Mastery in Phase 3 on Heart of Darkness. Due to heavy damage in Phase 3, it can be a good idea to bubble a later Heart of Darkness so you can top low health players.
For more information, please refer to our Vexiona guide.
Ra-den the Despoiled
We advise you to use the following essences against Ra-den the Despoiled.
Tips
The final phase, starting at 40%, is a DPS and Healing race with massive damage. Make sure to have your cooldowns available for parts of this phase, and try to deal as much damage as possible. Make sure the active tank is as low as possible without killing them to counter Decaying Strike. You can also use Blessing of Protection to remove the Corrupted Essence debuff from yourself or allies.
For more information, please refer to our Ra-den the Despoiled guide.
Il'gynoth, Corruption Reborn
We advise you to use the following essences against Il'gynoth, Corruption Reborn.
Tips
You can use Blessing of Protection to prevent stacks from being applied to raid members who are being attacked by bloods.
Use Aura Mastery when bloods are blowing up or when moving to or from organs to reduce some of the damage intake.
Save Divine Steed for when you get targeted by Corruptor's Gaze. Using it to quickly move around the boss will cause the beam to go through the boss instead of taking up space in the room.
For more information, please refer to our Il'gynoth, Corruption Reborn guide.
Carapace of N'Zoth
We advise you to use the following essences against Carapace of N'Zoth.

- Minor Slots
- Conflict and Strife — Rank 3: Strife
- The Well of Existence — Rank 3: The Well of Existence

- Minor Slots
- Conflict and Strife — Rank 3: Strife
- The Well of Existence — Rank 3: The Well of Existence

In some cases, you will need to use Unbreakable Spirit instead of Rule of Law to ensure your Divine Shield is off cooldown in time for your assigned immune soak.
For more information, please refer to our N'Zoth the Corruptor guide.
