General Information

On this page, you will find tips, tricks, and strategies tailored to your Holy Priest for each boss of the following raid: Liberation of Undermine. All our content is updated for World of Warcraft — The War Within (11.1.0).

1.

Introduction

Below, you can find class and spec-specific advice for every fight in Liberation of Undermine. If you are looking for a general overview of the Raid that is not spec-specific, check out our dedicated Liberation of Undermine Boss guides.

On this page, you will find tips and tricks specifically tailored toward Holy Priests and its toolkit based on the recommended talent build. It does not include general tips for mechanics, which are included in the full raid guide instead, whereas this page assumes that you are already familiar with most of the major mechanics of each encounter.

All recommendations are progression-based tips and will not necessarily be the best for an overall DPS ranking.

General Defensive Usage Notes

Holy Priest has several defensive spells that you should plan to use and rotate throughout mechanics. You should opt to use the smaller cooldown spells often as needed with incoming mechanics and save bigger cooldowns like Desperate Prayer Icon Desperate Prayer for large incoming damage.

  • Desperate Prayer Icon Desperate Prayer.
  • Fade Icon Fade (with Translucent Image Icon Translucent Image talented).
  • Flash Heal Icon Flash Heal on yourself (with Protective Light Icon Protective Light talented).
  • Guardian Spirit Icon Guardian Spirit (if not needed for a specific ally).
2.34.

General Cooldown Usage

Holy Priest has a few cooldowns to think about using optimally on the fights in Nerub-ar Palace:

  • Apotheosis Icon Apotheosis — Our main, 2-minute raid cooldown.
  • Divine Hymn Icon Divine Hymn — Our secondary strong raid cooldown on either a 3-minute cooldown, or 2-minutes with Seraphic Crescendo Icon Seraphic Crescendo talented.

If you find your cooldowns are not assigned by your raid leader, you should look to use these as often as they will do healing without significant overheal. This is particularly important for Holy Word: Salvation Icon Holy Word: Salvation as much of your gameplay feeds into reducing the cooldown of Holy Word: Salvation, and this added bonus is lost if it is not being used.

Your desired mana potion should be used as soon as the additional mana won't be wasted. This can often be quite early on during an encounter and will help set you up to have plenty of mana for the later portions of the fight.
